    • The invention proposes a method for policy management in a network comprising at least a mobile node, a policy decision entity, a first policy enforcement entity and a second policy enforcement entity, wherein a handover from the first to the second policy enforcement entity is to be performed for the mobile node, said method comprising the steps of transferring context information related to the mobile node comprising a policy session identifier from the first policy enforcement entity to the second policy enforcement entity (S11), deleting the policy session state locally in the first policy enforcement entity (S12), and sending a policy session update request from the second policy enforcement entity to the policy decision entity based on the policy session identifier received from the first policy enforcement entity (S13). Thus, a seamless handover in terms of policy can be achieved.
