    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of providing an electret material having an excellent charge-retentive property with respect to heat.
      SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electret material includes: an irradiation step, a formation step and a charging step. In the irradiation step, a dispersion containing polytetrafluoroethylene microparticles is irradiated with γ-ray. In the formation step, the dispersion that has been irradiated with γ-ray is applied on an electrode plate, and thereafter dried, and the polytetrafluoroethylene microparticles are baked, thereby forming a polytetrafluoroethylene layer on the electrode plate. In the charging step, the surface of the polytetrafluoroethylene layer is subjected to a charging treatment.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt nip system image fixing device which is more excellent in reliability as compared with the conventional art. SOLUTION: The device includes: a heat-fixing roll which is rotatably supported; an endless belt which is arranged with respect to the roll, so that a part of the outer circumferential surface of the endless belt and a part of the outer circumferential surface of the roll come into contact with each other and rotated in accordance with the rotation of the roll; a pressing member which is arranged inside the endless belt and forms a belt nip portion where the belt is pressed against the roll from the inner circumferential surface of the belt, to bring the belt and the roll into surface contact with each other, so that a toner image is fixed on a recording sheet, in the contact potion of the belt and the roll; and further a slide sheet which is arranged between the pressing member and the inner circumferential surface of the belt and reduces sliding resistance generated between the belt and the pressing member, when the belt is rotated.
