    • PURPOSE:To reduce the error due to mechanical oscillation by arranging a compensating element in the incidence side or the exit side of a detecting element as one body so that polarizing actions due to mechanical oscillations of both elements are differential mutually. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline element 5 for compensation having the same properties as a crystalline element 3 having the electrooptic effect is interposed between the crystalline element 3 and an analyzer 4. The direction of the crystalline element 5 is so set that the polarizing action due to the mechanical oscillation of the crystalline element 3 and that of the crystalline element 5 are differential. Even if the mechanical oscillation is applied to an electromagnetic- photo transducer, polarizing actions generated in the crystalline element 3 having the electrooptic effect and the crystalline element 5 for compensation are cancelled by each other because these polarizing actions are differential by the relation of their orientation, and the light which is not affected by the mechanical oscillation is made incident to the analyzer 4. Thus, the error of measurement is reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to enhance sensitivity by avoiding the influence of an external magnetic field such as an other phase magnetic field, by providing a core which is inlaid with and inserted into a conductor being a current detecting object and provided with a pair of gap parts at point-symmetry positions with respect to the center of said conductor.
      CONSTITUTION: An optical current transformer apparatus has such a structure that cut cores 7, 8 are inlaid with a conductor 3' and Faraday elements 11, 12 are respectively arranged to a pair of gap parts 9, 10 of said cores. On the other hand, in influence due to other phase magnetic flux ϕn, a magnetic field of Hm+Hn is applied to the Faraday element 11 and a magnetic field of Hm-Hn is applied to the Faraday element 10. Therefore, when two magnetic fields are added, (Hm+Hn)+(Hm-Hn)=2Hm holds and the influence of the other phase magnetic field is set up. As a result, the influence of an external magnetic field can be avoided and sensitivity can be enhanced.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance accuracy by avoiding the influence of an external magnetic field, by providing a core with a gap inlaid with and inserted into a conductor being a current detecting object and a magnetooptical effect element arranged in the gap of said core.
      CONSTITUTION: A current transformer apparatus is constituted so that magnetic flux ϕm proportional to the density of a current flowing through a conductor passes a core 7 by said current and the magnetic field thereof is applied to the Faraday element 9 arranged in the gap 8 of said core 7. In this case, electromotive force is also induced in coils 10, 11 by the magnetic flux ϕm but, because both coils 10, 11 are same in winding numbers and subjected to inverse polarity connection, no current flows and, therefore, magnetic flux due to the coil 10 is not generated and no influence is exerted upon the Faraday element 9. As a result, the influence of an external magnetic field can be avoided and accuracy can be enhanced.
