CONSTITUTION:A bumper for a car is made of a thermal plastic composition which is a mixture of followings: hydrogenated derivative by weight percentage of 22 to 28 of block copolymer expressed by a general formula A(-B-A)n (A represents a polymer block of substituted monovinyle aromatoc hydrocarbon, and B represents an elastomeric polymer block of conjugate diene), propylene ethylene block copolymer by weight percentage of 56 to 32, ethylene propylene copolymer rubber by weight percentage of 22 to 28, Mooney viscosity of which is 10 to 65 at 100 deg.C, talc by weight of 0 to 5, and low-pressure low-density polyethylene by weight percentage of 0 to 7. This configuration is capable of providing the bumper with both excellent weather resistance and high impact properties at low temperature with the provision of an excellent gloss value.

    • PURPOSE:To make a plastic bumper so as not to expand or contract by a temperature variation, by installing plural projections in a keep plate, which is applied to the surface of a plastic facia locked to a bumper stay and situated in position between the facia and a clamping bolt. CONSTITUTION:When a bolt 5A is clamped tight, a projection 8 is bitten in a resin layer of a facia 1 in consequence. When the facia tries to extend in longitudinal direction by a temperature variation, movements in both directions of the facia 1 of its own are prevented due to a relationship between a screw part of the bolt 5A and a setting hole 6A and bitingness in the projection 8. And, the facia 1 is expanded or contracted quite as much as that of an armature 3 and a keep plate 4. That is to say, expansion or contraction of the facia 1 by the temperature variation is absorbed as heat distortion among, the armature 3, the keep plate 4 and the facia 1. With this constitution, an expansion value of the facia 1 is little as a whole whereby its end part will not interfere with a front fender panel and in no case being projected from that.
