    • A sintered alloy comprises (based on the total weight of the alloy), 3-13.4 wt.% of W, 0.4-5.6 wt.% of V, 0.2-5.6 wt.% of Cr, 0.1-0.6 wt.% of Si, 0.1-0.6 wt.% of Mn, 0.6-2.2 wt.% of C, and a balance of Fe. The sintered alloy includes: (A) a first phase comprising (based on the total weight of the first phase) 3-7 wt.% of W, up to 1 wt.% of Cr, 0.1-0.6 wt.% of Si, 0.1-0.6 wt.% of Mn, up to 2.2 wt.% of C and a balance of Fe; and (B) a second phase comprising (based on the total weight of the second phase) 3-15 wt.% of W, 2-7 wt.% of V, 1-7 wt.% of Cr, 0.1-0.6 wt.% of Si, 0. 1-0.6 wt.% of Mn, up to 2.2 wt.% of C and a balance of Fe. The second phase is in an amount of 20-80 wt.% (based on the total weight of the first and second phases) where the first and second phases are distributed in the sintered alloy, in a form of spots, respectively. Also claimed are: (1) an alloy as above which comprises 0.8-5.9 wt.% of V, with the first phase additionally comprising 0.5-1.5 wt.% of V; (2) an alloy as above which comprises 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S, with the first and second phases comprising 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S; (3) an alloy as above which comprises 0.8-5.9 wt.% of V, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S, with the first phase comprising 0.5-1.5 wt.% of V, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S and the second phase comprising 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S; (4) an alloy as above which comprises 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, with the first and second phases comprising 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si; (5) an alloy as above which comprises 0.8-5.9 wt.% of V and 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, with the first phase comprising 0.5-1.5 wt.% of V and 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si and the second phase comprising 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si; (6) an alloy as above which comprises 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S, with the first and second phases comprising 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S; and (7) an alloy as above which comprises 0.8-5.9 wt.% of V, 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S, with the first phase comprising 0.5-1.5 wt.% of V, 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S and the second phase comprising 0.6-5.0 wt.% of Si, 0.2-1.0 wt.% of Mn and additionally 0.1-0.6 wt.% of S.
