Thereafter, respective applicators 26aW26g are moved close to predetermined coating positions toward the car body W. Wax in a reservoir tank 31 is forcibly sent into a channel by a forcible feeder pump 27. The amount of said wax determined by quantitative delivery valves 29aW29f is applied by the applicators 26aW26g, respectively.

The panel portions 1, 2 are made of plastic reinforced by fiberglass. A woven piece 7 of long carbon fibers is integrally molded on the surface of the guard bar so that the woven piece 7 extends in the longitudinal direction of the bar. Since the guard bar is made of plastic and the carbon fibers are laid in the longitudinal direction, the weight of the bar is reduced and the quantity of the carbon fibers is minimized.

In this case, a part continuing from the main body part 5 of the body outside plate 3 to the mounting flange 9, namely, plate thickness (t) over the whole range of the projecting part 7 is formed into a thin part to plate thickness T of the main body part. With thin constitution, each of corner parts (a) and (b) is formed into a bendable hinge structure, whereby even if the body outside plate 3 is expanded or contracted due to temperature deformation, these phenomena are made to be absorbable by elastic deformation of the thin part 19.

CONSTITUTION:A filler base 5 is formed in the outer skin 1 of a vehicle body, and the head section 17 of the filler tube 15 is fitted in a hole 13 formed in the bottom section of the filler base 5. Further, a nut 31 is tightened onto a thread section 27 to secure and support the filler base. With this arrangement, the filler base and head section are moved in association with expansion and contraction of the outer skin so that it is possible to prevent the sealing ability of the fuel filler from being deteriorated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To surely prevent the rusting of each part of a car body having a closed cross section by sprinkling microcapsules contg. a rust preventive in the part after second coating and by allowing the rust preventive to flow in the narrow gap in the part by heat for baking after finish coating. CONSTITUTION:The panel of an automobile body is subjected to undercoating, second coating and baking. An adequate amount of microcapsules 34 cont. a rust preventive is sprinkled in each part having a closed cross section joined by welding, etc., the side seal 30 with a spray gun or the like. The microcapsules 34 are broken by heat for baking after finish coating to allow the rust preventive to flow out. Since the viscosity of the rust preventive is lowered by heating, the rust preventive fills the narrow gap 33a in the joint 33. The solvent in the rust preventive evaporates during the heating and the rust preventive hardens in the gap 33a. By this method, the formation of rust in the entire gap 33a can be prevented.
