    • An apparatus for separating and purifying saturated hydrocarbon comprises an extractive distillation column to which a material containing an unsaturated hydrocarbon and a solvent are fed and in which the unsaturated hydrocarbon is separated and distilled, a sensor for measuring the concentration of an impurity in the extractive distillation column, a sensor for measuring the concentration of the unsaturated hydrocarbon, a sensor for measuring the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the distillation column, a control valve for controlling the amount of unsaturated hydrocarbon taken out from the bottom of the column and to be returned to the column, a control valve for controlling the amount of solvent, a control valve for controlling the amount of reflux, a heater for controlling the temperature at the bottom of the column, prediction control means for calculating prediction values of the concentration of the impurity, the concentration of the object, and the pressure difference based on the outputs of the sensors, and for performing control according to the prediction values. A method for separation and purification using the apparatus is also disclosed. By adopting the apparatus and method, the objective unsaturated hydrocarbon is stably taken out at a predetermined concentration irrespective of the variation of material component.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably take out an objective unsaturated hydrocarbon in a fixed concentration irrespective of variation of raw material components. SOLUTION: This apparatus for separating and purifying an unsaturated hydrocarbon has an extractive distillation column 4, for example, supplying a butadiene-containing raw material and a solvent, distilling and separating and purifying butadiene, specific impurity concentration sensors 32 and 34 except butadiene at a fixed position of the column 4, a butadiene concentration sensor at the column 4, a sensor 30 for difference in pressure between the top and the bottom of the column 4, a return flow rate control valve 48 for returning a part of a butadiene-containing fluid taken out from the bottom of the column 4 to the column 4, a control valve 23 for the amount of a solvent to be supplied to the column 4, a reflux flow rate control valve 28 for returning a part of the residual component of the raw material taken out from the top of the column 4 to the column 4, a control heater 36 for the temperature of the bottom of the column 4 and an estimating and controlling means 60 for calculating the estimated value of the concentration of a specific impurity after a fixed time, a butadiene concentration at the top of the column and difference in pressure between the top and the bottom of the column based on the these sensors and controlling the operations based on the estimated values.
