摘要： PURPOSE:To enable highly efficient grinding by bringing the dresser edge neer to the surface of a grinding tool for a belt-like metallic body for detecting contact between both, finding circularity of the tool while using the contact point as a reference, and sending the dresser edge forward after a cutting quantity is determined so that prescribed circularity can be obtained. CONSTITUTION:A dresser 19 is moved forward to a grinding roller 1 by a guiding device 13, and the dresser edge 22 is contacted with the grinding roller 1, and contact is detected by a vibration sensor 23. A sound caused by the contact between both is detected by an acoustic sensor 24. Circularity S is found according to an equation I and an expression II by using a distance (r2) between the rotation center of the roller 1 and the dresser edge 22 at this time, a distance (r1) between the rotation center of the roller 1 and a surface of a belt-like metallic body, a grinding load F of the roller 1 and the ratio K of a radial directional disto tion quantity caused by elastic deformation to this grinding load, and a cutting quantity C is set from it and target circulariry E. The dresser edge 22 is sent forward according to this cutting quantity C, and grinding is carried out.

摘要： PURPOSE:To suppress a bending or a vibration generated to a suppresser roll, and to carry out the grinding process stably so as to improve the surface quality after the grinding, by providing a bracing device to the presser roll, and holding the presser roll by small diameter rolls provided to contact and separate freely. CONSTITUTION:A piston rod 9 is moved upward by operating an elevating device 10 such as a hydraulic cylinder, and at the same time, oscillating members 13 are moved upward through a holding member 8 and a holding shaft member 15, and small diameter rolls 5 and 6 are contacted to the presser roll 2 and held at specific positions by a hydraulic pressure. As a result, a bending of the presser roll 2 is suppressed. Since the two small diameter rolls 5 and 6 are contacted in parallel in the peripheral direction of the presser roll 2, in this case, the oscillating members 13 are kept stable by the small diameter rolls, and at the position to satisfy the balance of the force at the fulcums (the journalled points) of the small diameter rolls.

CONSTITUTION:When a roll-form grinding tool 1 is set up in a grinding processing line of a strip metal body and this strip metal body is ground as depressing a bearing part 3 of the grinding roll 1 by means of a depressing device 4, acceleration and displacement in this bearing part 3 is monitored by a load cell 5, measuring the phase of vibration and its peak value, thus the extent of unbalance is found out. When this unbalance value has exceeded the specified reference, opposite force against the specified depressing direction is imparted to a counter cylinder 7, whereby any chatter mark is prevented from occurring on a surface of the strip metal body to the utmost.

The cooling drum 1 is provided with a drum body 11 having a hollow shaft 11a at both side ends and a drum sleeve 10 fitted to the outer periphery of the drum body 1, and many streaks of warm water passageways 30a, 30b extending to the axial center of the drum along the joint face with the drum sleeve 10 at least in the inside of the drum body 11 are formed while separating by a specified distance from each other in the circumferential direction, and cooling water whose temperature is raised by heat exchange at the cooling water holes 22a, 22b of the drum sleeve 10 is led to the warm water passageways 30a, 30b.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the method for treatment of a hot rolled austenic stainless steel strip which efficiently executes the removal of the surface scale, grain boundary oxide layers and the scale flaws of the steel strip by combining mechanical grinding and pickling and selecting the conditions thereof. CONSTITUTION:This method for treatment of the hot finished oustenitic stainless steel strip consists in subjecting the hot finished austenitic stainless steel strip to a grinding treatment of a 10 to 100mum surface range with a mechanical grinding means to remove the surface scale at least down to the grain boundary oxide layers, then subjecting the steel strip to a pickling treatment with a hydronitrofluoric acid pickling soln. which contains 30 to 210g hydrofloric acid per 1 liter hydronitrofluoric acid soln. mixture and 50 to 150g nitric acid and is kept at 50 to 80 deg.C until the amt. of scarfing attains 1 to 30mum. As a result, the grinding and pickling treatments are simplified and the efficiency thereof is enhanced. The product having excellent surface quality is obtd. and the improvement in productivity and the reduction of the production cost are resulted.

By this method, foreign matter like grinding powder, etc., is sucked/removed at polishing position.
