摘要： PURPOSE:To enable cleaning and cooling function with higher efficiency by providing the casting surface of dam blocks of a side dam device which moves continuously and circumferentially with cleaners for cleaning. CONSTITUTION:The long sides and short sides of casting molds are formed of a pair of the side dam devices 2, 2' consisting of a pair of endless belts 10 facing each other and the dam blocks 3. Molten steel is poured into such belt type continuous casting molds to cast thin slabs 1. The casting surfaces of the dam blocks 3 of the side dam devices 2, 2' which continuously and circumferentially rotate are provided with the brush rolls 4, 7 which are the cleaners for cleaning at >=1 points to continuously remove the deposits of the dam blocks 3. The side dam devices 2, 2' are provided with cooling water nozzles 8 which are water cooling devices. As a result, nonuniform cooling is prevented and the edge crack generating in the thin slabs is suppressed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To execute the adjustment of coating film thickness with the real on time by setting a coating film thickness distribution measuring unit to measure the coating film thickness distribution in the lateral direction of belt, and adjusting the pressurizing pressure on the front surface of belt with the adjusting roll based on the measured value from the coating film thickness distribution measuring unit and the target value. CONSTITUTION:A heating device 4 is set along a belt 2 moving toward a casting part 3, and a spray 51 which coats the total width of casting surface with the coating material is set at the upstream side of this heating device. A coating film thickness distribution measuring unit to measure the belt lateral direction distribution of coating film thickness coated on the belt front surface is set at the downstream side of this heating device. Plural pieces of adjusting rolls 52 are arranged in line in the belt lateral direction between the above- mentioned spray and the heating device, an adjusting mechanism which adjusts the pressurized pressure on the belt front surface of the above-mentioned adjusting rolls variably based on the measured value from the above-mentioned coated film thickness distribution measuring unit and the target value. Therefore, the adjustment of the coating film thickness in the lateral direction of the belt following to the change of the steel kind for casting, the change or variety of casting condition can be easily executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To execute gage measurement from outer part and to execute the measurement of shifting quantity of guide rolls and the centering by using peripheral face on at least two pieces of guide roll shafts at inlet side and outlet side for the cast slab in plural segments as the measuring face with a gage to adjust the position of adjoining segments. CONSTITUTION:In the guide rolls arranged in the adjoining segments 1, 2, respectively, as the projected shafts 4b, 6b arranged to out of pass-line in at least two pieces of the guide rolls 4, 6, which are arranged at the inlet side and outlet side for the cast slab, respectively and counted from the inlet side end and the outlet side end, are as concentrical with roll barrel parts 4a, 6a in the guide rolls 4, 6, by informing the positions of peripheral faces on the projected shafts 4b, 6b, positions of peripheral surfaces on the roll barrel parts 4a, 6a contacting with the cast slab can be informed. Therefore, by using the peripheral faces on the projected shafts 4b, 6b as the measuring faces with the gage A, the shifting quantity of guide rolls set in the adjoining segments 1, 2, respectively, can be measured.
