    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe sheet pile structure which enables the easy and secure performance of the cleaning of a joint space and the filling of mortar and concrete and which can make construction efficiency proper by increasing the efficiency of the manufacture of a steel pipe sheet pile; and to provide a method for constructing the steel pipe sheet pile structure.
      SOLUTION: This steel pipe sheet pile structure includes the plurality of steel pipe sheet piles 2 which penetrate the ground while having joints 5 and 6 of the adjacent steel pipe sheet piles 2 fitted together. Only the female joints 5 are provided in two locations in the one female steel pipe sheet pile 2A, respectively; and only the male joints 6 are provided in two locations in the other steel pipe sheet pile 2B, respectively. Since the female and male steel pipe sheet piles 2A and 2B are formed in symmetrical shapes, respectively, deformation of a steel pipe sheet pile main 4, which is caused in the welding of the joint, becomes symmetrical; a correction device for the correction of the steel pipe sheet pile main 4 is simplified; and correction procedures are facilitated. Consequently, the manufacturing efficiency of the steel pipe sheet pile 2 can be increased.

This enables sure excavation of sediment in first and second filling spaces A and B of the joint portion 3, enables the sure cleaning of the insides of the spaces A and B, and enables the insides of the spaces A and B to be solidly filled with a filler 7. Additionally, a protrusion is formed on the leg portion 61 of the male joint 6, and a steel plate 8 with a protrusion is provided between the pair of female joints 5, so that the filler 7 in both the first and second filling spaces A and B can be restrained.
