    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the connecting work by fixing paired fitting joint plates having bolt through holes on protruding semi-long parts and fixed semi-long parts fixable to pipe ends to the pipe end circumferential surface of a steel pipe to connect, and bolting the pipe to a pipe to be connected. CONSTITUTION:To the circumferential surface of the pipe end la of a lower square steel pipe 1, a fitting joint plate 3a consisting of a fixed semi-long part 3a1 and a protruding semi-long part 3a2 protruding from the pipe end la is fixed. The lower square steel pipe 1 and the fitting joint plate 3a are mutually fixed by hexagon bolts 4, and the pipe end of an upper square steel pipe 2 having connecting bolt through holes is fitted to the fitting joint plate 3a. The upper square steel pipe 2 and the fitting joint plate 3a are fixed to each other by blind bolts or one-directional fastening bolts 5, and the lower square steel pipe 1 is connected to the upper square steel pipe 2 through the fitting joint plate 3a. The mechanical strength of the connecting part can be enhanced.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance an efficiency in splicing columns to a great extent by setting a column splicing reference line at the ends of pipes in advance, mutually butting the ends of a prior and a posterior pipe which are provided with the specified number of joining through holes, and thereby concurrently attaching joining splice plates closely thereon so as to be fitted together. CONSTITUTION:Both each inner plate 10 and each outer plate 11 and each splice plate 9a through 9d are attached onto each pipe end 1a and 2a of a prior and a posterior steel pipe column 1 and 2 wherein the inner and the outer plate are composed of 2 rectangular splice plates 9 same in size and opposite to but parallel with each other, and each splice plate is composed of a bridge section 12 which bridges the opposite center sections of the inner plate 10 and the outer plate 11 so as to be connected. In this case, the prior steel pipe column 1 is threadedly connected to the splice plates 9a through 9d with hexagon headed bolts 20, and the posterior steel pipe column 2 is threadedly connected to the splice plates 9a through 9d with blind bolts 14. By this constitution, the columns can thereby be easily spliced.
