摘要： PURPOSE:To make vacuum degassing effective and to selectively produce small lot steel kinds easily by specifying the relation between one time of standard tapping amt. and capacity of a small-sized pan for a molten steel for divided pouring and the angle of upward inclination of the inside surface of the pan in the stage of dividedly receiving the molten steel subjected to refining. CONSTITUTION:The vacuum degassing reaction is effectively executed by controlling the shape of the small-sized pan for the molten steel for divided pouring having an inverted circular truncated cone shape to dividedly receive the molten steel from a refining furnace. This pan for the molten steel for divided pouring satisfies the conditions within the range enclosed by the points A, B, C, D in the figure indicating the relation between s/S and theta when one time of the standard tapping amt. of a steel making furnace is designated as S(ton), the pan capacity of the small-sized pan for the molten steel as s(ton) and the angle of upward inclination of the inside surface of the small-size pan for the molten steel as theta. This range provides the height of the molten metal and the diameter of the vessel adequate for the vessel for dividedly pouring molten metal to carryout degassing treatment.
