    • PURPOSE:To improve a secondary combustion rate, to increase the using ratio of an inexpensive cold charge such as steel scrap and to reduce the cost of steel making by estimating exactly the secondary combustion rate in the stage of refining a molten iron subjected to preliminary refining such as desiliconization in an oxygen top blowing converter. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen jet is blown from a lance 11 having main holes 2 and auxiliary holes 3 for ejecting oxygen toward the surface of the molten iron 7 in the converter 1, by which the molten steel is oxidation-carburized and refined to steel. The CO-contg. gas generated by the decarburization reaction is included into free injection regions 16, 17 of the oxygen jet and is subjected to secondary combustion. The temp. of the molten steel 7 is increased by the generated heat, by which the using rate of the inexpensive cold charge scrap is increased and the cost of steel making is reduced. The secondary combustion is effectively utilized while the secondary combusion rate beta expressed by equation (II) is correctly estimated by using K to indicate the speed of the oxygen feed jet steel making is thus executed.

Also, an Fe-based alloy containing at least one kind of Si and Al is melted, and thereafter deposited and solidified in the form of droplets in an atmosphere containing oxygen or further fabricated and subsequently heat-treated, to manufacture the flexible magnetic core material. For example, an Fe-Si alloy containing 8.0wt.% Si is melted and thereafter dispersed by gas-atomizing method using Ar containing oxygen to be deposited on a metal plate, which is then rolled as it is at a high temperature and subjected to a heat treatment at 900 deg.C for 30 minutes in an inert gas.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease spitting and to prevent iron loss in a lance for decarburization refining by specifying the number of nozzles at the top end of the lance, disposing symmetrically the nozzles with respect to the axis of the lance and inclining the nozzles at a specific angle to the axis of the lance. CONSTITUTION:The number of nozzles at the top end of a tap blowing lance which performs decarburization treatment to a molten iron after a preliminary treatment is specified at >=4 pieces and the nozzles are disposed symmetrically with respect to the central axis of the lance in such a way that the respective nozzle holes incline at 16-24 deg. with respect to the axis of the lance. The number of the nozzles is particularly preferably one at the center and six on the outside circumference, total seven pieces, and the six pieces on the outside circumference maintains an equal interval by each 60 deg.. The recess formed on the bath surface is thus made soft blow, by which spitting is decreased.

Soft magnetic characteristics are improved and a new effect is added by the addition of compound material of Mo and S, the loss or coercive force in a high frequency state is reduced, the degree of freedom in annealing condition is widened, distortion and deterioration are reduced, corrosion-resisting property is improved, and the practical characteristics such as the degree of freedom of composition and the like is also improved.
