摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled isocyanate-modified foam having excellent flame- retardancy, self-adhesivity to steel plate and mechanical strengths and uniform foam texture, by mixing a resol-type phenolic resin with an isocyanate compound and adding a curing agent to the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective foam can be produced by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of a resol-type phenolic resin having a viscosity of 500-20,000cps and produced by mixing a phenolic compound (e.g. alkyl-phenol) with an aldehyde at a ratio of 1:(1-3), reacting the mixture in the presence of an alkaline catalyst, neutralizing with an acid and dehydrating the product under reduced pressure with (B) 3-60pts.wt. of an isocyanate compound (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate), adding (C) 5-50pts.wt. of a curing agent (e.g. benzenesulfonic acid) to the above mixture after 3-180sec e.g. at 20 deg.C, vigorously agitating the mixture, pouring into a mold frame and heating at 50-100 deg.C.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a process for producing a phenolic resin foam which is attracting attention as a construction material due to its flame retardancy and less-fuming properties, which process is free from a problem that a phenolic resin foam having all of lightweight properties, strength, and processability has been unable to be produced efficiently by any conventional method. CONSTITUTION:A phenol is reacted with formaldehyde or a derivative thereof in the presence of a basic catalyst to obtain a condensate. This condensate is neutralized by adding thereto a mixed acid containing phosphoric acid, thereby to obtain a resol resin. This resin is mixed with a foam stabilizer, a foaming agent, an inorganic filler, a hardener, etc., and the resulting foamable composition is foamed to obtain the objective phenolic resin foam.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy resin composition that has excellent blocking resistance and storage stability as well as high moldability, high moisture absorption, high resistance to heat and high adhesion between different kinds of materials and gives cured products with electric insulation. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition is prepared by melt-mixing or solution-mixing homogeneously 100 pts.wt. of an o-cresol type novolak type epoxy resin that is solid at room temperature and 5-100 pts.wt. of an aromatic oligomer that is prepared by polymerizing monomers mainly comprising indanes and is solid at room temperature. In another embodiment, an aromatic oligomer prepared by polymerizing o-cresol novolak type epoxy resin (OCNE), a phenolic curing agent, and a monomer mainly comprising indanes and >=75 wt.% of inorganic filler are used to produce an epoxy that is solid at room temperature. In these epoxy resin composition, the proportion of the aromatic oligomer is 5-100 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of OCNE and the OCNE and the aromatic oligomers are preliminarily mixed homogeneously. The epoxy resin cured product is produced by curing the epoxy resin composition.

After the addition of all the components, the first mixing is done with the static mixer, the shearing force of which is small. The favorable shearing speed at this time is 50-1000 s , for example. The second mixing is done by passing through the mixing section equipped with a rotary agitator having large shearing function in succession to said mixer with small shearing force. The favorable shearing speed at this time is 700-10000 s . After mixing, the mixture is foam-molded by pouring it in a frame of the like.

CONSTITUTION:A phenol compd. and a substd. xylene of the formula: RCH2-Ar- CH2R (wherein R is halogen, hydroxyl, or alkoxy; and Ar is phenylene) are condensed in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst or an acid catalyst to give a novolac-type oligomer, which is condensed with formaldehyde in the presence of a catalyst comprising an ankali or alkaline earth metal hydroxide at a pH of 8 or higher. Thus is obtd. a resol phenol resin having decreased brittleness. When the resin is foamed, the resulting foam exhibits a decreased surface friability, producing a decreased amt. of powder.
