    • PURPOSE:To compensate a difference in the intensity of reflected light by forming a hologram which diffracts and deflects the reflected light from an object toward a photodetecting means so that the hologram has diffraction efficiency set high or low according to focal length and/or photodetection area set large or small according to focal length. CONSTITUTION:Laser light which is generated by a laser light source 201 is diffracted and deflected by the holorgams 205a and 205b of a scanning means and focused to specific focal length and when the light strikes on the object, its reflected light is diffracted and deflected again by the holograms 205a and 205b of the scanning means and guided to the photodetecting means 210. Then the short-focus hologram 205a is formed in a belt like shape on a hologram disk 205 and the long-focus hologram 205b, on the other hand, is formed over the entire semicircular part of the hologram disk 205. Consequently, the diffrac tion efficiency eta of the holograms 205a and 205b is set high or low in advance according to the focal length of the holograms and the photodetection area S of the holograms is set large or small according to the focal length of the holorguns 205a and 205b. Consequently, variation in the quantity of photodetection due to a difference in distance can be suppressed.
