摘要： A magnetic disk substrate consisting of a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer composition is produced by charging a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer composition which is a (co)polymer containing the following repeating units as the monomer unit into a disc-like mold cavity having a flat inner surface and kept at a temperature within the range of 100 to 240°C in the molten state and at a high shearing speed, then increasing the mold clamping pressure, if necessary, so that the molten resin coming into contact with at least one of the disc surfaces inside the mold is pressed vertically, and thereafter cooling the resin.

摘要： When an arm having a plurality of arm members and used for an actuator of a disk apparatus is produced, the arm members are simultaneously and integrally formed by injection molding of a thermoplastic resin. A molten resin is packed into cavities corresponding to a plurality of arm members concurrently and in parallel. To this end, a common spool and a resin connecting portion represented by each runner are disposed between the arm members. To pack the molten resin concurrently and in parallel, the thermoplastic resin is injected from the position of the distal end of each arm member when injection molding is carried out. In an intermediate produce during the production of the arm, the resin connecting portion is disposed at at least one position between a plurality of resin arm members. After this intermediate produce is heat-treated, the arm can be obtained by removing the resin connecting portion, too.

摘要： A metal-resin composite plate obtained by joining a metal sheet (1, 12) and a resin sheet (2, 13). An insert member (3, 17) having a through-hole is buried into the resin sheet. The insert member is in close contact with the resin of the resin sheet at its peripheral portions other than its surface at which the through-hole is open. The metal sheet includes a metallic coupling member (4, 16) fixed thereto, and the metal sheet and the resin sheet are united by the coupling member which is fitted into the through-hole. The insert member and the resin around the insert member involve stresses (F3, F4) due to their elastic deformation, so that sufficient force is generated for firm connections between the coupling member and the insert member and between the insert member and the resin sheet. The stress of the surrounding resin results from elastic deformation (V2-V3), smaller than the deformation (V2) produced in the insert member, which can generate the stress (F3) in the inner member.

摘要： A laminate composed of at least two layers comprising a barrier base material and an ethylene copolymer layer containing carbon-to-carbon unsaturated bonds and optionally further a polyolefin composition layer; a heat-shrinking laminate film; and a laminate and a heat-shrinking foamed laminate film each further containing a foamed layer. The laminate is excellent in heat sealability and oil resistance, is optionally cross-linked dependent on the purpose of use, and is useful not only as a nonshrinking packaging material for chilled beef but also as a food packaging material for conventional sleeve or boiling packaging. Since the heat-shrinking laminate film contains an ethylene copolymer which can be crosss-linked efficiently, it can be cross-linked with an ionizing radiation under a milder condition in a shorter time than before, thus providing a high-performance laminate more economically and safely without causing the deterioration of the barrier base material. The laminate and heat-shrinking foamed laminate film containing the foamed layer are excellent in heat insulation, shock absorption and flexibility while retaining high barrier properties, heat sealability and high shrinkability.

摘要： A molded article of a crystalline thermoplastic resin with high gas barrier properties, produced while optimizing the crystal orientation of the resin to give a product with a specified monoaxial monoplanar orientation, thus remarkably improving the gas barrier properties. The gas barrier properties can be drastically improved by optimizing the crystallinity and crystal orientation of the molded article by specifying the conditions of molding and heat treatment for crystallization and utilizing a synergistic effect of the crystallinity and the crystal orientation. The molded article is used as the packaging or protective material of meat, processed animal and fish meat including ham and sausage, processed marine products including 'kamaboko', retortable pouch, foods which must be shielded from moisture or oxygen, such as fish powder seasoning, powdery soup and rice cracker, curry powder, spice, vegetable, fruit, medicine and so forth.
