    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject woven fabric of rotator design provided with the central part and radial parts, to be used for producing a fiber-reinforced composite material of such design that the respective diameters of the radial parts vary axially. SOLUTION: This woven fabric is formed in such rotator design as to be provided with the central part 2 and integrally extended radial parts 3 by the aid of warps R extended radially, wefts extended peripherally and orthogonal yarns Z orthogonalized therewith. The outer diameter of the radial part 3 can be processed to a smooth curved surface of desired accuracy through machining after forming. This three- dimensional reinforcing woven fabric is produced using a basal platform insertably implanted with many pins on the axially maximally projected sectional region, a guide parallel with the pins, a support plate provided with holes to be threaded with the pins and slidable with the guide, and plural auxiliary support plates each provided with the central hole corresponding to the outer diameter of this woven fabric to be produced and the thickness corresponding to the length in the direction of rotational axis of the outer diameter part and also provided with holes to be threaded with the pins at positions corresponding to the respective pins.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain carbon material comparable with carbon/carbon composite material in a simple process by carbonizing nonfusible fiber having oxygen/ carbon and hydrogen/carbon of a specified range or its precarbonized fiber under pressurization or under pressing. CONSTITUTION:The aimed carbon material is obtained by carbonizing fiber which consists of nonfusible fiber obtained by subjecting pitch fiber to nonfusible treatment and/or precarbonized fiber obtained by furthermore subjecting this nonfusible fiber to precarbonizing treatment and has 0.01-0.16 elemental ratio of oxygen/carbon and 0.01-0.52 elemental ratio of hydrogen/carbon under pressurization or under pressing and furthermore if necessary, carbonizing or graphitizing it under normal pressures. The nonfusible treatment can be performed at 50-400 deg.C under the gaseous oxidative atmosphere. Further the precarbonizing treatment is performed at 400-800 deg.C for 10min-5hr under the inert gas atmosphere. The carbonization under pressurization is performed at 400-2,000 deg.C under pressure of 500,000-10,000kg/cm . Further the carbonization under pressing is performed at 400-2,000 deg.C under pressure of 10-500kg/cm .
