摘要： The invention provides a catalyst comprising a first catalyst ingredient comprising at least one component selected from the group consisting of Pt, Pd and Ir and oxides thereof. It may further comprise at least one component selected from the group consisting of Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Sb, Se, Te and Ta and oxides thereof as a second catalyst ingredient. These are supported on at least one component selected from silica-boria-alumina composite oxides or zeolites with a silica-to-alumina molar ratio of more than 30, in an amount from 0.1 to 10 g of the first catalyst ingredient and from 0.01 to 5 g of the second catalyst ingredient, each per one litre of the catalyst, with the second to first ingredient weight ratio being less than 1. The catalyst is used for treating exhaust gases by bringing the exhaust gases containing HCl and dioxines into contact with the catalyst thereby eliminating dioxines contained in the exhaust gases by oxidative decomposition while suppressing additional formation of dioxines from precursors for dioxines present in the exhaust gases.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste incinerator wherein the mixing property of a gas in the incinerator is rendered high, and accordingly discharge of a harmful gas or an unburnt gas is suppressed. SOLUTION: According to (A), a parting plate 21 is in a lift-up state and a sub-flue 10 is in a full-open state. Accordingly, a combustion exhaust gas 15 is discharged by way of the sub-flue 10 to be mixed with a combustion exhaust gas 14 which is discharged by way of a main flue 9. When the parting plate 21 is lifted down as shown by (B) to substantially close the sub-flue 10, the combustion exhaust gas cannot flow through the sub-flue 10, so that most of the combustion exhaust gas is discharged by way of the main flue 9. In this way, through periodical lift up and down of the partitioning plate 21, the mixing condition of the combustion exhaust gas 14 which passes through the main flue 9 and the combustion exhaust gas 15 which passes through the sub-flue 10 can be periodically varied. Thus, non-steady flow is generated at the upper portion of a middle roof 8 to raise an agitating effect of the combustion exhaust gas, thereby suppressing discharge of a harmful gas or an unburnt gas.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the use amt. of slaked lime and to remove nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide and hydrogen chloride in an area low in the output of electron beam with high efficiency by irradiating exhaust gas with electron beam while blowing a slaked lime powder having a specific particle size characteristic into the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas from a waste refuse incinerator plant is branched from the inlet flue of an electric precipitator to be guided to an irradiation container. The concn. of a harmful gas component is adjusted by the addition of pure gas in consideration of fluctuations. A definite amt. of a slaked lime powder is delivered by a table feeder to be passed through a vinyl chloride resin conduit by a jet blower while accompanied by air to obtain a slaked lime powder having a particle size characteristic wherein a specific surface area is 30m /g or more and this powder is ejected into the inlet flue of the irradiation container. Electron beam is emitted vertically to the gas flow in a reactor through the irradiation window arranged to the side surface of the reactor. The exhaust gas passing through the reactor is supplied to a pulse jet shaking-off type bag filter and again returned to the outlet of the electric preciptator through an ID fan while the fly ash and reaction product in the exhaust gas are removed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the thermal decomposition of dioxin at a low cost by introducing ash discharged from a refuse incinerator into an ash reserving hopper under the condition making no contact with air and inserting an electric heater into the ash reserving hopper for heating. CONSTITUTION:Main ash is introduced from a refuse incinerator 1 into an ash reserving hopper 10 under the condition of making no contact with air without being cooled. Also, flying ash recovered by a dust collector 3 is introduced into the ash reserving hopper 10 under the condition of making no contact with air. Next, heat retained by main ash is utilized so that the ash reserved in the ash reserving hopper 10 is heated to a required temperature for a required time by an electric heater 11 and conductive exothermic body 12 inserted into the ash reserving hopper 10 under the low oxygen atmosphere and dioxin is thermally decomposed to be made innoxious. Then, the heating time is adjusted according to a time taken for opening and closing a double-flap dumper 13. The ash made innoxious is shipped through the dumper 13 by a conveyer 14, so that high thermal efficiency heating and the thermal decomposition of dioxin are permitting at a low cost.

CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas generated in a combustion furnace 11 is introduced into an adsorbing apparatus 14 and the organochlorine compound and heavy metals in the exhaust gas are adsorbed on the adsorbent received in an adsorbing device 14. The used adsorbent having the organochlorine compound and heavy metals adsorbed thereon is charged in the combustion furnace 11 and the organochlorine compound such as dioxin in the adsorbent is heated and decomposed by the combustion heat in the combustion furnace 11. Subsequently, heavy metal vapor revolatilized by the combustion heat of the combustion furnace 11 is introduced into a semidry type reaction tower 12 along with the exhaust gas and a heat-resistant chelating agent is sprayed to the exhaust gas. By this method, the heavy metal vapor is subjected to the gas-liquid contact reaction with the chelating agent and removed as a fine particulate chelate compound by a dust collector 13.
