    • PURPOSE:To stably operate a slurry treatment system while preventing solid materials from accumulating, by guiding a high-temp. and high-pressure slurry produced in a coal liquefying facility etc. into a slurry reactor of suspension bubble column type, where the slurry is reacted with a counterflowing hydrogen gas and discharging any product from the bottom thereof in a controlled amt. CONSTITUTION:A high-temp. and high-pressure slurry of coal etc. heated to 350-400 deg.C in a heating furnace in a coal liquefying facility etc. is fed through an upper feed line 12 into a slurry reactor 2b of suspension bubble column type. A hydrogen gas pressurized by the use of an H2 gas compressor is fed through a lower feed line 11 into the reactor. In the reactor 2b, the slurry is uniformly reacted with the hydrogen gas in a counterflow state. The coal slurry obtd. as a reaction product is transferred through a bottom discharge line 13 to a next step while controlling the opening of the valve 15 by means of a level controller 16, a flow rate control valve 15, and a control line 17 so as to attain a desirable liq. level height. On the other hand, the hydrogen gas entrained with mist vapor is discharged from an upper discharge line 14. The mist is separated, and the hydrogen gas is recycled for use.

    • PURPOSE:To stably and efficiently conduct pressure reduction for a solid particle-contg. high- pressure abrasive slurry produced in coal liquefaction for a prolonged period of time, by employing the title device which is provided with a particular ceramic core and a particular buffer mechanism within a cylindrical pressure holder. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ceramic cores 12 each having a protruded portion 13 at one end thereof, a recessed portion 14 at the other end thereof, and a small-diameter throughhole 15 for slurry flow in the center portion thereof are fixed in a cylindrical pressure holder 11 with the core interconnected. To the outlet side thereof is intimately connected, according to the necessity upon application of an adhesive to the connecting portion, a jet buffer mechanism 16 having a closed end and a hollow portion 18 with the same inside diameter as that of the protruded portion 18 with the same inside diameter as that of the protruded portion 13 of the core 12. Through the closed end, an outlet opening 19 is provided. In the hollow portion 18, a buffer member 20 comprised of a plurality of spherical parts is accommodated. The jet buffer mechanism is adapted to be connectable to a high-pressure side or low pressure side line by means of a fixing metal filling 21, a setting metal fitting 22, a Grayloc joint 23, etc. Thus, there is constituted a decompression device 10. For example, a high-pressure and high temp. slurry from a high-pressure separator tank in a coal liquefying facility, etc., is fed into the decompression device 10, where pressure reduction is effected, and transferred to a next step.
