摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a coal liquefaction method whereby the cost of coal liquefaction products can be greatly reduced. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of adding a solvent to a coal powder to prepare a coal slurry, the step of subjecting the slurry to liquefaction in the presence of hydrogen to give a liq. product, the step of separating the product into a liquefied slurry and gases, and the step of distilling the liquefied slurry to separate it into a liq. oil and a solvent-purified coal and simultaneously recycling a required amt. of the oil to the first step as the solvent for preparing the coal slurry. The coal slurry is prepd. by adding 100-230 pts.wt. solvent and 0.5-10 pts.wt. catalyst to 100 pts.wt. coal. The liquefaction reaction is conducted at 350-480 deg.C under a pressure of 20-200 atm while introducing a coke oven gas as the hydrogen source into a reactor.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a coke oven capable of preventing forced clogging during an actual operation and effectively preventing damage to the oven wall of the coke oven. SOLUTION: This method for operating a coke oven is to operate the coke oven by setting an operational condition using a measured value of a compression tester capable of measuring a local load or local pressure acting on a moving side wall 9 installed along the compression direction when a test coke is compressed in an extruded direction. The above local load or local pressure is measured for the test coke prepared in a condition corresponding to the operational condition in a real oven and, when the measured value is over a predetermined allowable value, the aforesaid operational condition is changed so as to bring the measured value within the allowable range.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a low-bulk-density coke having a high porosity without decreasing strength from an ordinary coal blend by carbonizing coal in the presence of particles which comprises a pore-forming agent as the core and a reinforcement attached to the surface thereof. SOLUTION: Metallurgical coke is produced by carbonizing an ordinary coal blend in the presence of pseudoparticles which are formed by attaching a reinforcement to the surface of a pore-forming agent as the core having a particle size of 0.5-3 mm and which have particle sizes of 6-20 mm and an apparent density of 1.05-1.20 g/cm , the amt. of the pseudoparticles present (in terms of the pore-forming agent) being 0.1-5 wt.% based on the coal blend. Pref., the pseudoparticles are obtd. by causing a caking additive (e.g. pitch) having a particle size of 0.5 mm or lower and a softening point of 80 deg.C or higher or a heavy caking coal having a max. reflectance (Ro) of coal of 1.10 or higher and a Gieseler flowability (NF) of 10 ddpm or higher in an amt. of 0.54 wt. % (based on the coal blend), if necessary together with a binder, to a pore-forming agent by the agglomeration method.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a method for raising the temperature of a coke oven without damaging the partition wall at an end of a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:Burners 10 are attached to the ceiling at both ends of a combustion chamber 2 in a state passing downward through the top wall 5 of the oven. Fuel gas and air are supplied to a burner 10 at an end of the combustion chamber 2 acting as a pull-down part by the switching of combustion. The combustion gas generated by burning the fuel gas is passed through the end part of the combustion chamber to raise the temperature of the end part of the combustion chamber. Since the flame 30 is formed downward and parallel to the partition walls 6, there is no contact of the flame 30 with the partition wall to prevent the melting damage of the wall 6.

摘要： PURPOSE:To remove heavy nitrogen compounds by catalytic pyrolysis wherein a fossil fuel itself is catalytically decomposed under atmospheric pressure in the presence of a highly active catalyst as a substitute for a molybdenum catalyst into harmless products and to provide a low-nitrogen product. CONSTITUTION:Harmful heavy nitrogen compounds contained in a fossil fuel such as coal, a petroleum-derived heavy oil or coal- or petroleum-derived tar are removed by pyrolyzing them into a harmless nitrogen gas by heat treatment in the presence of ultrafine metallic catalyst particles at a medium to high temperature under a pressure near the normal pressure. As a result, the pyrolysis ratio of nitrogen compounds can be increased, while the residual ratio of nitrogen compounds can be decreased, and the pyrolysis efficiency can be markedly increased. The fossil fuel or by-products obtained by this simple process are useful as low-nitrogen products.
