    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for a flat display which minimizes irregular color due to yellowing without incurring a steep rise of manufacturing cost and allows good image display. SOLUTION: The glass substrate for a flat panel display is obtained by subjecting the upper and lower surfaces of a glass substrate to polishing treatment after being formed by a float process, and a silver electrode film is formed on the whole of any one of the upper and lower surfaces subjected to the polishing treatment, wherein when the in-plane color intensity distribution of one surface on which the silver electrode film has been formed is evaluated according to b * in the L * a * b * color system, a difference between maximum and minimum values of the b * is controlled to ≤5.
