    • PURPOSE:To improve the rate of good valve assembly by eliminating the necessity for raising the dimensional accuracy of valve elements and the positional accuracy of assemblage by forming a dike-like protruded part on the surface of either a valve or a valve seat at their overlapped part. CONSTITUTION:Valve members of a check valve are composed of a disk-like valve 103, an arm 104 supporting thereof and a circular ring like fixing part 105. On one side of the disk-like valve 103, a dike-like protruded part 202 is formed. As pressure acts from the side of an ink passage 101, the valve 103 is pushed up, and ink flows out through a gap between the valve 103 and a valve seat 102. As pressure acts in the inverse direction, the protruded part 202 on the valve 103 contacts with the valve seat 102 and shuts off the ink flow. At the time of flowing of ink, the gap between the dike-like protruded part 202 and the valve seat 102 is especially narrower than that between the valve 103 and the valve seat 102, therefore, the flow of ink is substantially determined by the resistance of the gap between the protruded part 202 and the valve seat 102. If the shape and dimension of the protruded part 202 are kept constant, the variation of the valve characteristics becomes smaller even if the dimensions of the valve 103 and the passage 102 of the valve seat 102 are varied and the overlapped position of the valve 103 and the passage 101 is deviated.

    • PURPOSE:To resolve troubles encountered in the electrostatic deflection of ink by using a system in which nozzles are arranged so that ink droplets jetted from plural nozzles are directed to one point between a recording medium and the nozzles, and control is made on the formation of the ink droplets in such a way as to coalesce the ink droplets at the crossing point. CONSTITUTION:In an ink chamber 103 incorporated with a piezo oscillator 105 to generate pressure pulse according to electric signals and also filled with an ink, ink droplets are injected from a nozzle 101 at a recording medium 112 by a pressure pulse, and ink is supplied from an ink connector 113. At least two of such an ink droplets former (a and b) are provided, and both nozzles 101a and 101b are provided so that the flying courses of ink droplets from the nozzles 101a and 101b are crossed with each other between the nozzles and the recording medium 112, where the ink droplets are coalesced at the crossing point 115. Also, the flying direction of the coalesced ink droplets is biased to a desired direction by a signal control means 114.

    • PURPOSE:To perform halftone recording by a simple device without correction of the quantity of deflection according to the weight of an ink drip by deflecting the ink drip in the direction rectangular to the jetting direction of the drip in the air stream parallel to the jetting direction of the drip. CONSTITUTION:Being directed to a flowing channel 106 provided between a nozzle 103 and a recording medium 104 to form an air stream parallel to the jetting direction of an ink drip, air is sent by a guiding means 107 in such a manner as to produce no turbulence. The ink drip, separated from the nozzle 103, is accelerated in the flowing channel 106, being pushed by the air stream, and its flying speed at the time when it passes through deflecting electrodes 112 is made to be at the fixed value irrespective of its weight. A deflecting electrofield between two deflecting electrodes 112 being fixed, each ink drip is loaded in proportion to its weight so that the fixed quantity of deflection can be obtained irrespective of the weight of the ink drip.
