    • PURPOSE:To prevent foreign matter from accumulating in a passage by additionally providing an air introducing pipe, having a selector valve, in the pressure detecting passage, opened at more downstream side of an intake control valve related to an intake passage, and introducing air to the pressure detecting passage at the time of stopping an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An engine is stopped by placing an intake control valve 12 in a fully closed condition and cutting off intake air and further fuel. Since a negative pressure is generated in the downstream of the fully closed intake control valve 12 while the engine is continued to rotate by inertia, when an electromagnetic selector valve V5 is opened being selected from off to on, air is advanced by a large differential pressure from an air intake port 46 of an air cleaner or the like to pass through a pressure detecting passage 24 from an air introducing pipe 47 and the electromagnetic selector valve V5, and a large amount of air is jetted at a high speed to an intake passage 2 in the downstream of the intake control valve 12. As a result, carbon or the like of adhering to a wall surface of the pressure detecting passage 24 is blown and removed by a strong air stream. Accordingly, the pressure in the intake passage is transmitted to an intake control unit always in good responsiveness to prevent generation of hunting or the like.

    • PURPOSE: To optimize the injection rate by accumulating the fuel fed by pressure from a pump plunger to an injection nozzle and changing the accumulated quantity in response to the operational state.
      CONSTITUTION: An accumulating piston 43 is connected to a pressure-feed passage from a pump plunger to an injection nozzle via a passage 44, and a liquid- tight chamber 46 between the accumulating piston 43 and a rotatable cylinder 45 is communicated to a pump chamber via a control hole 51. The cylinder 45 is rotated with hydraulic control vanes 56, 57 connected to the cylinder 45 in response to the operational state of an engine, and the control hole 51 is opened or closed with the control reed 52 of the cylinder 45 to control the accumulated quantity. Accordingly, the injection rate can be controlled at optimum.

A control reed 31, opening or closing the control hole 30 is formed with the accumulate ring 25, turning this accumulate ring 25 with a control piston 36, and a travel of the accumulate piston 22 is controlled. With this constitution, a fuel accumulate quantity is varied according to an engine operating state, thus a fuel injection rate is maintainable in optimum condition.

While, when the no-existence of the ignition signal is judged, the injection timing is fixed at the fuel injection timing immediately before the disappearance of the ignition signal by advance-angle-controlling the injection timing.

    • PURPOSE:To permit an instrumental error existing in a fuel injection pump and to accurately control the fuel injection timing by adjusting the state of an electric signal generated in the interior of a device from the outside, thereby correcting either the target value or the actual value of the fuel injection time. CONSTITUTION:Phase signal generating means M3 generates a signal corresponding to the rotational phase of a cam for driving a plunger of a fuel force feed pump, and reference position detecting means M5 outputs a signal corresponding to the reference position of a cycle of an internal combustion engine M4. According to a phase difference of both signals, the actual fuel injection time of a fuel injection pump M1 is detected by actual fuel injection timing detecting means M6. On the other hand, the operating condition of the internal combustion engine M4 is detected by means M7, and according to the detection results, the target fuel injection timing is calculated by means M8. Means M2 is controlled by means 9 in such a manner that the actual value of fuel injection timing agrees with the target value. In this case, the state of an electric signal generated in the interior of the device is adjusted by means M10, whereby either the actual fuel injection timing or the target timing thereof is corrected by means M11.
