摘要： PURPOSE:To improve precision of fuel injection quantity control without increasing the whole pulse number of a pulser to detect an engine rotational angle in a fuel injection pump of a diesel engine to control fuel injection quantity by driving and controlling a spill valve. CONSTITUTION:A dense tooth part A of a small pulse interval and a rough tooth part of a large pulse interval are formed over the whole periphery of a pulser 7 of an engine speed detector 35 used for computation of fuel injection quantity. A region of the tooth part where the pulse interval is densely arranged is at least positioned in a fluctuating region at a spill valve opening position. Consequently, while precision of a computation result of fuel injection time is improved by increasing the number of a rotational angle pulses required for fuel injection quantity computation, increase in the burden of a CPU by interrupt computation is avoided.

CONSTITUTION:A central port 23, which communicates with a pump chamber 3, is formed in a plunger 6, possible to rotate further reciprocate through a face cam 7 interlocking to rotation of an engine, and a distribution port 9, which can be connected to a distribution passage 12 which communicates with each injection valve 11, and a spill port 16, opened and closed by a spill ring 17, are communication-formed in the port 23. While a port 24, which communicates with a variable displacement chamber 34 controlled with the volume through a piston 31 by an electrostrictive actuator 30 in an injection rate control device 2, is communication-formed. The electrostrictive actuator 30 is drive-controlled by the predetermined timing determined in accordance with the open-close timing of the port 24 at the time of preceding injection, thus by controlling the volume of the variable displacement chamber 34, pilot injection is executed.

CONSTITUTION:When an electric current is applied to a solenoid 2, electromagnetic force is generated, and an armature part 44 is attracted downward by magnetic force, and a needle valve 4 is therefore lowered against a spring 3 and seated on a valve seat 43. In this case, a damper chamber (the first fuel chamber) 8 under the armature part 44 is reduced in its volume and pressurized, and the fuel in the damper chamber 8 leakingly flows through a fuel relief face 47 and groove 48 into an armature part (the second fuel chamber) 10. But when the impulse face 49 of the upper part of the armature begins to lie on the upper face 17 of a body, the fuel relief groove 48 is closed by an armature guide face 16 to restrict the leaking flow of the fuel for making impulsive force act to the valve opening movement of the valve 4.

摘要： Carbon-containing particulates like soot included in an exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine are collected by means of a heat-resistant filter medium. The filter medium dispersedly collects hydrocarbon compounds and the carbon-containing particulates included in the exhaust gas. Even when the exhaust gas has a lower temperature than the combustible temperature of the carbon-containing particulates, such dispersed collection ensures start of a preliminary oxidation reaction of the collected hydrocarbon compounds with oxygen included in the exhaust gas. The collected hydrocarbon compounds and the collected carbon-containing particulates are then subjected to combustion with the exhaust gas having a filter inflow temperature lower than the combustible temperature of the carbon-containing particulates by utilizing the reaction heat and active species produced by the reaction. This technique thus simply but securely regulates and reduces the carbon-containing particulates included in the exhaust gas.

摘要： An exhaust emission purification device comprises a sulfur component holding agent arranged on the exhaust path of an internal combustion engine for holding a sulfur component, a NO x holding agent arranged downstream of the sulfur component holding agent in the exhaust gas for holding NO x and the sulfur components when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing thereinto is lean, and a reducing agent adding unit for adding a reducing agent to the exhaust gas flowing into the NO x holding agent. The concentration of the sulfur component contained in the reducing agent added by the reducing agent adding unit is lower than the concentration of at least the sulfur component contained in the fuel supplied to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine. Thus, the sulfur poisoning of the exhaust emission purifier can be avoided while at the same time reducing the fuel consumption rate.

摘要： A device for purifying the exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine (1) is disclosed. The device comprises a collision collecting type filter (5) for collecting particulates which is arranged in an exhaust passage, can vary a pressure in the exhaust passage on at least one of the upstream side and downstream side of said filter (e.g. by means of valves 4a,7a), determines that the collected particulates have been burned and the filter (5) has been regenerated, and suddenly changes the pressure in the exhaust passage when it is determined that the filter has been regenerated in order to remove accumulated ashes.
