    • PURPOSE:To provide an elastic wheel capable of restraining an elastic body which composes the elastic wheel from heating and reserving heat and also maintaining stability and durability of the elastic body during its high speed travel. The compound bodies A are of a laminated body formed by sticking and laminating alternately high rigidity thin plates (0.1 to 5.0mm thick) such as steel plates, and high molecular visco-elastic layers (0.02 to 5.0mm thick) of a rubber or a synthetic resin. In this elastic wheel, vibration of a vehicle is absorbed by the high molecular visco-elastic layers of the compound body A, when a vehicle load actuates to the compound body A while taking the load as a force towards the shearing direction and the compression direction. The shearing deformation of the high molecular visco-elastic layers occurring at that time can be kept small and the heating may be restricted to the minimum.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a composite damping material capable of being simply mounted to a vibrator in a detachable manner and reduced in the temp. dependence of damping characteristics and capable of developing effective damping capacity within a wide temp. range by containing a magnetic powder in at least one plate composed of a rigid body and/or at elast one polymer viscoelastic layer of a laminate and magnetizing the same. CONSTITUTION:Anti-corrosion films 2 composed of iron phosphate are formed to both surfaces of a metal plate 1. Next, a primer is applied to both surfaces of the anti-corrosion films 2 to form primer layers 3. A rubber solution is applied to the primer layer 3 on the single surface side of the metal plate and vulcanized to form a rubber layer 5 containing 80wt.% of strontium ferrite. The composite damping material constituted as mentioned above is brought into close contact with a magnetizing yoke on the side of the magnetic powder- containing rubber layer 5 to be subjected to magnetizing treatment by a condenser magnetizer. A magnetized pattern is formed so that N-poles and S-poles are alternately arranged on the plane of a magnetic body in a stripe form and the interval thereof is set to 1 - 10mm. As a rigid material other than the metal plate 1, a ceramic type one to which sintering treatment is applied or a synthetic resin one such as fiber reinforced plastic is used but the Young modulus thereof is desirably 300kgf/mm or more.
