CONSTITUTION:At least one of metal salts, waxes and silicone compounds of higher fatty acid is included in coloring agent layer and/or color former layer, both of which are provided on a support as heat-sensitive recording body. Thus, after recording is performed, the coloring agent layer and the color former layer can be separated from each other at the interface between the layers. By separating both layers from each other at the interface between the layers, the recorded image can be obtained on both layers or only one layer and the color development in ground part can be prevented from occurring when the layers are exposed to high temperature. At this time, for example, when the melting point of the color former layer, which is produced in advance on the support, is higher than the melting point of the color agent layer produced on the color former layer, recorded image is obtained only on the color agent layer, when recording is carried out by applied energy.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal record body whose thermally recorded information does not become known to a third person by arranging, in sequence on the top face of a support body, a thermal recording layer and a peelable masking layer formed by coating process so as to make recorded information unreadable, and making the face of the masking layer rough. CONSTITUTION:A thermal record body is constituted by arranging in sequence a thermal recording layer and a specified masking layer on the top face of a support body. That is, the masking layer is formed by coating process in a peelable way, so as to make recorded information unreadable. The face of the masking layer is roughed, or a roughed overcoat layer may be arranged on the top face of the masking layer in the thermal record body. In roughing the face, for example, the face is roughed by an embossing roll or a roughing roll after the masking layer is formed. Thus, a thermal record medium whose thermally recorded information does not become known to a third person is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a recorded image with outstanding stability, and resistance against plasticizer and oil by adding an epoxy compound expressed by a specific formula to a recording and/or protecting layer, in a thermal recording medium with the recording layer containing a colorless or a pale basic dye and a coloring agent and the protecting layer provided sequentially on a support. CONSTITUTION:This thermal recording medium consists of a recording layer containing a colorless or a pale basic dye and a coloring agent, and if necessary, a protecting layer provided on a support. In this medium, an epoxy compound is added to the recording layer and/or the protecting layer (R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom or a methyl group respectively). This trivalent epoxy compound with a triazine nucleus shows a coloring reaction not susceptible of color discharge by a chemical such as a plasticizer to the basic dye in the recording layer. The thermal recording medium with an excellent recording density can be obtained especially by using a phenol coloring agent at the same time. In addition, it is possible to enhance the preservability of recorded print by providing a protecting layer on the thermal recording layer.
