摘要： An organic opto-electric device is disclosed comprising an opto-electric element (10) and a protective enclosure (20) for protecting the opto-electric element (10) against atmospheric substances. The protective enclosure comprises a multi-layered protective layer (30) in which a first inorganic layer (32), a first organic layer (34) comprising a getter, a second organic layer (36) free from getter material and a second inorganic layer (38) are stacked in the order named, wherein the first and the second inorganic layer encapsulate the first and the second organic layer. The getter is distributed in the first organic layer (34) as nanometer sized particles and the second organic layer (36) has a thickness of at least 10 Am.

摘要： An apparatus is described for coating a flexible substrate (1) with at least a first organic layer (2) and a first inorganic layer (4). The apparatus comprises a first and a second chamber (10, 20) and an atmosphere decoupling slot (30) between the first and the second chamber. A printing facility (40) is arranged in the first chamber (10), for printing the flexible substrate with a mixture comprising at least one precursor for a polymer, oligomer or a polymer network and a polymerization initiator. A curing facility (50) is arranged in the first chamber (10), for curing the deposited mixture, therewith forming the at least first organic layer (2). A vapor deposition facility (60) is arranged in the second chamber (20), for depositing the at least first inorganic layer (4) at the substrate (1) provided with the at least first organic layer (2). 摘要： The invention relates to an organic electro-optical device (10), to a light source, a display device and a solar cell. The organic electro-optical device comprises an organic electro-optical compound (40) sandwiched between an anode layer (30) and a cathode layer (50). The cathode layer comprises an electron-injecting metal being a metal having a relatively low work-function for injecting electrons into the organic electro-optical compound. The cathode layer is sealed from moisture via a sealing layer (60) deposited on the cathode layer. The sealing layer comprises a getter layer (70) for consuming water and an organic planarization layer (80) for encapsulating contamination particles (100) in or on the cathode layer. The getter layer is sandwiched between the cathode layer and the organic planarization layer. The sealing layer is sealed using an inorganic barrier layer (90). The effect of the sealing layer according to the invention is that it significantly increases the life-time of the organic electro-optical device.

The sealed thin-film device further comprises locally applied mending material (40; 42, 44) for sealing a local breach (50) in an outer one (22) of said barrier layers. An effect of this sealed thin-film device is that the operational life-time of the sealed thin-film device is improved. Furthermore, the production yield of the production of sealed thin-film devices is improved.
