摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for a secondary battery, which realizes good cycle characteristics, and a method of manufacturing the same, and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having good cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: The cathode for a secondary battery comprises: a cathode current collector; and a cathode active material bonded to the cathode current collector by a binder for the cathode. The binder for the cathode is made of polyimide or polyamide imide. The cathode current collector is made of a Cu alloy including at least one species of metal (a) selected from the group consisting of Sn, In, Mg and Ag, and has a conductivity equal to or larger than 50 IACS%. The cathode for a secondary battery can be manufactured by a method including the steps of: forming a cathode layer including the cathode active material and a precursor of the binder for the cathode on the cathode current collector; and hardening the binder for the cathode precursor at a temperature of 250-350°C, thereby bonding the cathode active material to the cathode current collector by the binder for the cathode.
