    • Apparatus for processing a data stream (110) comprises a data stream receiver (150) operative to receive a transport stream (TS), TS storage apparatus (170) operative to store at least a portion of the TS having a beginning and comprising a plurality of TS packets. The apparatus comprises candidate determining apparatus (190) operative to determine, from among the plurality of TS packets, at least one TS packet comprising a candidate access point, candidate offset storage apparatus (170) operative to store in an index store a byte offset of the candidate access point, and arrival time storage apparatus (170) operative to store in the index store a plurality of indications of byte offset, each byte offset being associated with an arrival time of a received TS packet. The TS comprises a partially scrambled TS having a scrambled data portion (130) and an unscrambled data portion (140), and the data stream receiver (150) also comprises analyzing apparatus (160). The analyzing apparatus is operative to distinguish between the scrambled data portion (130) and the unscrambled data portion (140) and to provide the unscrambled data portion (140) for analysis by the candidate determining apparatus (190). The candidate determining apparatus (190) is operative to determine said at least one TS packet comprising a candidate access point based on examination of at least part of the unscrambled data portion (140) provided by the analyzing apparatus (160).

The candidate determining apparatus (190) is operative to determine said at least one TS packet comprising a candidate access point based on examination of at least part of the unscrambled data portion (140) provided by the analyzing apparatus (160).

    • Un método para procesar un chorro de datos (110) que consiste en: recibir un chorro de transporte (TS); almacenar al menos una porción del TS, teniendo la referida porción mínima del TS un comienzo y constando de una pluralidad de paquetes TS; determinar, de entre la pluralidad de paquetes TS, al menos un paquete TS que incluya un punto de acceso candidato; almacenar en una memoria de índices (170) una dirección de byte del punto de acceso candidato; y almacenar en la memoria de índices (170) una pluralidad de indicaciones de direcciones de byte, estando asociada cada dirección de byte con un tiempo de llegada de un paquete TS recibido, en el que el TS consiste en un TS parcialmente codificado dotado de una porción de datos codificados (130) y una porción de datos sin codificar (140), y en el que el paso de determinación consiste en: distinguir entre la porción de datos codificados (130) y la porción de datos sin codificar (140); pasar la porción de datos sin codificar (140) para su análisis; y determinar eso que se ha llamado ¿al menos un paquete TS que incluya un punto de acceso candidato¿ basándose en un análisis de al menos parte de la porción de datos sin codificar (140) proporcionada por el paso aprovisionador.
