摘要： PURPOSE:To improve magnetic field dependence of critical current density Jc of a superconducting wire by having an oxide superconductor e4nclosed by a thin metallic foil in a shape of a volute. CONSTITUTION:Gold, silver, platinum, or the like which may not easily react with an oxide superconductor is used as a metallic foil 2. The thin metallic foil 2 is to exist in a shape for enclosing the oxide superconductor 1 in a volute. In manufacturing this, the thick oxide superconducting film 1 is formed on the metallic foil 2, the metallic foil 2 is rolled together with the thick oxide superconducting film 1 to be put into a metallic sheath 3, and then stretching and heat treatment are performed. Thus the metallic foil 2 serves as a pin stopper for suppressing movement of line of magnetic flux which has entered inside a wire and a drop of Jc in a magnetic field can be suppressed.

Non-superconductors in the shape of fine lines or ribbons are mixed lengthwise in an oxide superconducting wire. Thus movement of fluxoid quantum line which has entered inside the superconductor can be suppressed, and pinning force can be improved better than a conventional spot-like pinning force.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a superconducting oxide wire of dense crystallization, high crystal orientation and high critical current density by filling the power of a Bi group oxide superconductor into a metal sheath to be cold-worked and heat-treated respective ly under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The powder of a Bi group oxide superconductor is filled into a metal sheath to be cold-worked, heat-treated at a temperature not higher than 875 deg.C and subsequently cold-worked, then heat-treated at a temperature not lower than 870 deg.C and heat-treated again at a temperature not higher than 875 deg.C. As for manufacture of the Bi group oxide superconductor, such a component that never damages the characteristics of a Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O group composition may be optionally added to the composition. A low Tc phase Bi2Sr2CaCu2 group composition, for example, can give a high critical current density characteristic (Jc). The wire can be manufactured not only for general-purpose but also into a tape-shaped one or a multicore linear one. The primary, secondary and tertiary heat treatment causes crystal growth to the superconductor in the preferential direction while correcting the distortion of crystal grains of the superconductor, whereby an oxide superconducting wire of dense crystallization, high crystal orientation and high critical current density can be manufac tured.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the dense oxide superconducting wire rod by packing oxide superconducting powder into a two-layered sheath consisting, the outside layer of which consists of copper and the inside layer of silver and drawing the sheath, then subjecting the wire rod to the removal of the copper layer, a hot isostatic pressurization treatment in an inert gaseous atmosphere and a hot isostatic pressurization treatment in an oxidative atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The oxide superconducting powder or the sintered body thereof is packed into the sheath, the outside layer of which consists of the copper and the inside layer of the silver. After this sheath is drawn, the wire rod is subjected to the treatment for stripping the copper of the sheath and the hot isostatic pressurization treatment in the inert gaseous atmosphere in arbitrary order. The wire rod is then subjected to the hot isostatic pressurization treatment in the oxidative atmosphere. The hot isostatic pressurization treatment in the inert gaseous atmosphere is executed under the conditions ranging, for example, 800-940 deg.C, 1800-2200kg/cm and 1-10 hour treatment time. The hot isostatic pressurization treatment in the oxidative atmosphere is executed under the conditions ranging, for example, 350-500 deg.C, 1800-2200kg/cm (about 400kg/cm oxygen partial pressure) and 1-20 hour treatment time.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a dense tape-shaped wire rod made of an oxide superconductor with a large discharge/absorption quantity of oxygen by filling the oxide superconductor into a metal pipe, applying cold machining to form a tape shape, removing the outer pipe, then applying heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:Y-Ba-O superconducting powder 2 is filled into a silver pipe and copper pipe 1, and draw machining and roll machining are applied to form a flat shape. The silver pipe and copper pipe 1 are removed by etching, heat treatment is applied for 14hr at 900 deg.C in the oxygen atmosphere, then the temperature is lowered at the cooling speed 3 deg.C/min. When the superconduction transition of a superconductor obtained by using the silver pipe was measured by the induction method, it was confirmed that the superconductor of the 90K level existed in the single phase. Zero resistance was confirmed at 92K by the DC four-terminal method. The same result as the above was also obtained for the superconductor obtained by using the copper pipe 1.

Fine impurity grains are noble metals such as Ar, Ag, Pt; alumina, magnesia, boron nitride, silicon nitride, silicon carbide. Preferably their grain diameter is not to exceed 1mum, and the amount of their addition is to be 0.01 to 5vol%. These fine impurity grains act as pinning points so as to offer high critical current density even in a high magnetic field.

CONSTITUTION:In the time of cold drawing work of a silver sheath containing oxide superconducting powders, at each halfway time when a fractional reduction in area reaches 2-50, intermediate annealing at a temp. in the temp. range of 100-300 deg.C. is performed. The silver sheath should have a proper hardness, that is, a hardness of Vickers 80-100 is required. A hardness of the sheath recovers a suitable value for cold drawing by performing the above annealing, so that generation of breakdown or cracks on the sheath is prevented. Hence, manufacture of oxide superconducting wire stocks is facilitated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the manufacture of an elaborate wire rod by filling a pipe with metal and an oxide superconductor which are to be made a base material for a tape-state wire rod, making the pipe in a tape-state with cold working applied, and applying heat treatment after an outer peripheral pipe is removed. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a silver or copper pipe (outer diameter of 15mm, inner diameter of 10mm) is filled with a silver rod (outer diameter of 9.5mm) cut out half in a longitudinal direction and oxide superconductive powder, and the pipe is made in a flat plate state with drawing processing and rolling processing applied. Then the silver or copper pipe is etchingly removed and heat-treated in an oxygen atmosphere to obtain a tape-state wire rod.
