摘要： A cable splice closure comprises a casing (11) which can be closed around a cable splice (1), and one or more cable grippers (7) which can be operated from the exterior of the casing (11). The or each cable gripper (7) preferably comprises one or more jaws (9) which can be moved with respect to the casing (11) to grip a cable (3), by means of one or more screw-threaded bolts or the like extending out of the casing. This allows the closure to be closed around a splice before it is tightly secured to the cables, thus permitting adjustments to the position of the closure with respect to the cables after it has been closed around the splice.
