摘要： A head drum assembly comprises a stationary drum, a rotary drum, and a self-compensating dynamic balancer. The stationary drum is fixed to a shaft, and the rotary drum is rotatably mounted to the shaft so that it faces the stationary drum. The rotary drum supports a magnetic head. The self-compensating dynamic balancer automatically compensates for any eccentricity between the rotational axis and the centroid of the rotary drum by using the centrifugal force of the rotary drum being rotated.

摘要： A stator assembly of a motor for a head drum is provided to generate a driving force disposed opposite to a motor rotor. The stator motor includes a double sided flexible printed circuit (FPC). A signal line is formed in a pattern is formed on both sides of the flexible printed circuit (FPC) for inputting an electrical signal. A plurality of wound driving coils are connected to a first side of the flexible printed circuit (FPC) to electrically connect with the signal line. 摘要： A method for assembling a head-drum assembly for a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is provided. The head-drum assembly is assembled by inserting a shaft to a fixed drum first, setting up a motor stator in the fixed drum, and putting a rotary drum assembly and drum cover assembly into the shaft sequentially. The method can reduce the number of part to be abandoned due to a defect caused in the assembly process by performing a process of assembling the shaft and the fixed drum first, an area in which most defects are caused, and then proceeding to the subsequent assembly processes.

A resilient body, such as a compressed coil spring, is disposed between a lower bearing disposed between the rotary drum and the shaft and a stationary drum. The resilient body upwardly presses the inner race of the lower bearing, thereby applying a preload. Accordingly, the head drum assembly of the tape recorder provides enhanced assembling efficiency and reduced manufacturing costs.

The magnetic recording and/or reading apparatus includes a power transmitting gear. The power transmitting gear has one end coupled to a loading motor and the other end coupled to a plurality of link gears to transmit power from a loading motor to drive components during loading and unloading of a magnetic tape. The power transmitting gear includes a first gear engaged with a motor gear coupled to a shaft of the loading motor. The power transmitting gear also includes a second gear engaged with one of the plurality of link gears and a shaft member coupling the first and second gears. A space is formed inside the shaft member to prevent the shaft member from deforming during manufacture of the shaft member.
