    • Disclosed herein is a method and system for universally encrypting and decrypting a transaction which is a functional unit in a power network, while reducing a system load. When a transmitting node encrypts a transaction, the serial number of the transaction corresponding to each piece of data included in the transaction is present, and data is selected either using a predetermined criterion or randomly, and is then encrypted. The transaction serial number is added to the encrypted data. A receiving node selects data to be decrypted using the transaction serial number or a predetermined criterion. Through this operation, encryption has been conducted from the standpoint of the transaction, but only part of the data is encrypted based on a probability from the standpoint of the data, so that a system load is reduced, thus enabling efficient encryption and decryption technologies to be implemented.

    • Provided are a novel distribution automation system and its voltage control method, which can supply a stable voltage to a user by properly adjusting the settings of a control device so as to compensate for reactive power at each load terminal. The voltage control method includes: a first step of modeling a distribution system in the form of a distribution load based on constants of four terminals according to the connection type of each node and a distribution line, which constitute the distribution system; a second step of determining a formula for estimating the magnitude of a voltage at a node from a current value of an adjacent node; a third step of determining an objective function including the magnitude of the voltage, calculated through the formula determined in the second step, and a control variable for controlling the magnitude of the voltage; and a fourth step of calculating a value of the control variable to allow the determined objective function to have a minimum value and applying the calculated value to each voltage control device provided in the distribution system.

    • A control method for preventing malfunction of an over current ground relay is disclosed. The control method includes: determining directions of per-phase power flows by measuring the magnitudes and phases of per-phase voltages and currents in an electric power system; checking occurrence of a load fault or a power source fault using the determined directions of per-phase power flows; and controlling an over current ground relay (OCGR) or an over current relay (OCR) to transmit a trip signal to a circuit breaker, after, upon occurrence of a load fault, checking occurrence of a ground fault and checking occurrence of a short circuit fault, and, upon occurrence of a power source fault, checking occurrence of a short circuit fault without checking occurrence of a ground fault, by turning on or off the OCGR or the OCR according to occurrence of a ground fault or a short circuit fault.
