摘要： In an image processing apparatus, the head top of a subject is detected, and the positions of a camera and a mirror are adjusted so that the coordinates of the detected head top coincide with the coordinates of a reference head top. When it is determined that the coordinates coincide with each other, the image size of a face of the subject is detected, and the zoom of the camera is controlled so that the detected image size and a reference image size coincide with each other. When it is determined that the image size of the face and the reference image size coincide, the positions of the camera and the mirror are adjusted again so that the coordinates of the head top of the subject and the coordinates of the reference head top coincide with each other.

摘要： Disclosed is an image processing apparatus in which the cheek of a person captured in an image of a photo may be corrected to a finish with the cheek looking slimmer than in a two-dimensional photo. A face correction unit (400) calculates, in a calculation unit (411), a face length L1 and a cheek width L2 of a face of a person as an object and L3 corrected from the face length L1. A face classifying unit (412) compares L2 and L3 to each other to classify the face shape into a ‘round shape’, ‘a long shape’ and a ‘square shape’. Depending on the results of classification, the image trimming is carried out by a first contour correction unit (413), a second contour correction unit (414), and a third contour correction unit (415) so that the cheek will look slim.

摘要： In an information management system, a patient operates a button of an identification number issuing apparatus installed in the reception area in a hospital and receives a ticket from a ticket slot. The ticket has the patient's identification number printed thereon. Having received the ticket, the patient moves to a photograph booth, operates an identification number input panel to input the identification number printed on the ticket, and takes a photograph of the patient's upper body. The patient receives a photograph/bar code sheet ejected from the photograph booth. Four pairs including photographs and bar codes, which are vertically arranged so as to be associated with each other, are printed on the photograph/bar code sheet. Having received the photograph/bar code sheet, the patient moves to the reception and submits the photograph/bar code sheet and a health insurance card to an attendant at the reception.

摘要： An image extracting apparatus is provided which can automatically finish a captured image of a person to provide an easy-to-view picture. It includes an image input unit supplied with a captured color image of the person to output it as digital data, a flesh-color region extraction unit supplied with the digital image data to detect a flesh-color region in the image, an object-image detection unit to detect an object image from the detected flesh-color region, and a trimming unit to trim the detected object image. On the assumption that a region extending from the top end of a certificate picture to the head top of a person is an overhead region A, a region extending from the head top to the jaw is a face region B and a region extending from the jaw to the bottom end of the certificate picture is a chest region C, the trimming unit trims the image so that the dimensional ratio between these regions A, B and C is 1:0.4 to 0.8:0.1 to 0.26.
