摘要： The subject matter of the invention is to add information to image data of multicolor image and monochromatic image. An image processing apparatus capable of adding information on raw data performs a dispersion conversion on the spectrum of the additional information by multiplying a code sequence of the PN sequence generator 114 by the additional data which is inputted from the input terminal 111 and converted into serial data in P/S converter 112. At this time, the data sequence transmitted from the image signal processor 102 to the printer engine 107 is converted by the scan converter 109 to correspond to the spatial axis for desperation. The converted data sequence is added to the output from the adder 113 by the adder 110, and reconverted to the original scan by the scan inverter 115.

摘要： An image processing apparatus in which the amount of data bits for each of plural block units is controlled to be the same for all block units, so as to facilitate location of each block unit in coded image data without necessarily decoding the entire image. Pixel image data which is formable into plural block units is input for each block unit, and the input image data is orthogonally transformed. The orthogonally-transformed image data is quantized, and variable-length coding is performed on the quantized image data so as to generate variable-length code. The amount of variable length code in each block unit is controlled to be no more than a predetermined amount of data bits, with the predetermined amount being the same for each block unit.

摘要： A reproducing apparatus for reproducing an information signal from a recording medium in which a recording medium has a modulated information signal recorded thereon by one of different recording systems, includes an optical head for irradiating the recording medium with a light beam, a photoelectric detecting portion for receiving a light beam reflexed from the recording medium and for generating an electric signal as the modulated information signal in response to the received light beam, and a convertor for converting the information signal from the electric signal. The photoelectric detecting portion is arranged to generate the electric signal by different processes in the case where the modulated information signal is recorded on the recording medium by a first system and in the case where the modulated information signal is recorded on the recording medium by a second system different from the first system. The convertor includes a demodulation circuit which is commonly utilized for demodulating both modulated information signals recorded by the first and second systems.
