    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage nip roll apparatus carrying out effective production by smoothly changing the number of nips of the multistage nip roll apparatus while kept in a running state without stopping operation and without cutting a sheetlike substrate, a driving controller for the same and a method for controlling the driving of the same.
      SOLUTION: The nip roll apparatus comprises a plurality of rolls independently driven with driving gears. The nip roll apparatus is equipped with driving controllers having functions to send a signal for performing speed control when the rolls are kept in a released state or a signal for performing torque control when the rolls are kept in a nipped state to driving controlling parts with nip roll position detecting arithmetic parts. The method for controlling the driving comprising changing over driving motors from the speed control to the torque control when the rolls are transferred from the released state to the nipped state and changing over the driving motors from the torque control to the speed control when the rolls are transferred from the nipped state to the released state is adopted.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject labor-saving apparatus having decreased energy loss by constantly inspecting the openings of differential pressure regulation valves of pressure-regulator group of a drier drainage apparatus, and providing a setting device to set the inlet steam pressure of a medium pressure group without changing the pressure difference of the pressure-regulator group. CONSTITUTION:The valve openings of differential pressure regulation valves 10, 11 of a pressure-regulator group in an apparatus for the utilization of regenerated steam of a drier are constantly inspected by a medium-pressure group steam pressure setting device 18 for regulating the inlet steam pressure of a medium pressure group 16. When the regenerated steam of the pressure-regulator group 7 escapes to the side of a heat-exchanger 19, the regenerated steam pressure of the pressure-regulator group 7 is judged to be set to a high level compared with the inlet steam pressure of the medium pressure group 16 and the setting of the pressure is changed to decrease the inlet steam pressure of the medium pressure group 16. The inlet steam pressure and the regenerated steam pressure of the pressure-regulator group 7 and the inlet steam pressure of the medium pressure group 16 are constantly maintained in optimum balanced state to maximize the effective utilization of the regenerated steam.
