    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical treatment method for treating a by-product or the like resulting from a chicken with subcritical water to manufacture a high value-added product.
      SOLUTION: The by-product or the like resulting from the chicken containing protein is treated with subcritical water so that the protein contained in the by-product or the like is decomposed into a peptide and an amino acid or the whole protein is decomposed into the amino acid and the obtained amino acid is purified, if necessary. Up to now, crude protein-based chicken meal or feather meal is manufactured by the conventional pressure digestion type rendering treatment system. The practical treatment method is a system for decomposing the chicken meal and the feather meal integrally into the high value-added amino acid. A treating machine using subcritical water to be used in the method can be operated continuously. The high value-added amino acid can be manufactured at low cost without polluting the environment while hardly imposing a load on the environment.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for recycling a liquid crystal panel, in which a liquid crystal material is separated from the liquid crystal panel without being deteriorated/decomposed by optimizing the treatment temperature and the concentration of a chemical as subcritical water treatment conditions and the separated liquid crystal material is recovered.SOLUTION: The method for recycling the liquid crystal panel comprises the steps of: mixing water with the chemical for improving at least one of peelability of the liquid crystal material and an organic film from the liquid crystal panel, decomposability of the liquid crystal material and the organic film, and solubility of the liquid crystal material and the organic film to adjust the concentration of the chemical; keeping a mixture of the chemical with water in a subcritical state and subjecting the liquid crystal panel to the first-stage subcritical water treatment; recovering the liquid crystal material peeled from the liquid crystal panel; again keeping the mixture of the chemical with water in the subcritical state and subjecting the liquid crystal panel to the second-stage subcritical water treatment; and recovering at least one of the glass, metal and organic film peeled from the liquid crystal panel.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modification method of a crosslinked organic polymer for modifying a crosslinked organic polymer bearing a quaternary ammonium group under a relaxed condition while reducing energy consumption thereby separating and recovering a component constituting the functional group and permits reutilization of the component as well as the substrate crosslinked organic polymer. SOLUTION: The modification method of the crosslinked organic polymer comprises bringing the crosslinked organic polymer bearing a quaternary ammonium group into contact with an aqueous medium in an atmosphere of a temperature of 200°C or higher to 370°C or lower and/or a pressure of not lower than 0.1 MPa and lower than 22 MPa thereby causing the quaternary ammonium group to liberate and reduce the molecular weight thereof and to separate it from the crosslinked organic polymer.
