    • PURPOSE:To accurately prevent measuring errors caused by interfering radio wave reflected on a mold wall, by providing a radio absorbing body surrounding the wall above the surface of molten steel in a mold and a receiving antenna when the level of the molten steel is measured by a microwave. CONSTITUTION:When the level of molten steel 2 in a mold 1 is measured by transmitting a microwave from a transmitting antenna 3 to catch the reflected wave thereof with a receiving antenna 4, at least the inner wall surface above the surface of molten steel in the mold 1 and the perimeter of the receiving antenna 4 are covered with a radio absorbing body 9. This can eliminate microwaves which otherwise reach the receiving antenna 4 reflected on the mold internal wall again after reflected on the surface of the molten steel 2 thereby preventing measuring errors positively.

    • PURPOSE:To enable identification of a moving object at a high speed by outputting two Doppler signals having a phase difference of 90 deg. from a Doppler receiver to make one signal by combining the two Doppler signals. CONSTITUTION:A phase modulation wave from a responder is received via an antenna 1, two Doppler signals having a phase difference of 90 deg. is outputted with a Doppler receiver 2A corresponding to the phase modulation wave and these Doppler signals are amplified with amplifiers 3a and 3b separately to be sent to an amplitude detection circuit 6a and 6b and a signal synthesization circuit 7. Waveforms of the two Doppler signals being sent are shaped with the signal synthesization circuit 7 to make one signal and sent to a clock detection circuit 4 and a demodulation circuit 5. The demodulation circuit 3 outputs data -- a data 0 with 1 in the number of edges and a data 1 with 2 therein -- within a fixed period. Thus, the data can be demodulated without being broken, thereby enabling identification of a fast moving object.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a delay circuit whose delay phase angle is unchanged even if the frequency of an input signal varies by using a phase locked loop PLL so as to generate a clock being an integral number of multiple of the signal and using the output clock of the PLL so as to drive a counter and retarding the signal depending on the count. CONSTITUTION:A PLL (phase locked loop) 8 is provided with a phase comparator 81, a low-pass filter 82, an amplifier 83 and a voltage controlled oscillator 84. The PLL 8 generates a click having a frequency being an integral number of multiple of that of the signal, the output clock of the PLL 8 drives the counter 4 and the signal is delayed by the count of the counter 4. Thus, if the signal frequency is varied, the delay phase is unchanged and the delay time is changed in proportion to the period so as to contribute to the versatility of the circuit.
