    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for producing methanol, capable of elevating the yield of methanol synthesis using a biomass material.
      SOLUTION: The system is equipped with a gasification furnace 20 for obtaining a biomass-gasification gas 24 by gasifying biomass 21, a methanol synthesis equipment 30 for synthesizing methanol 31 by using a purified gas 26 derived from biomass, and gas-reforming/purifying equipment 40 for reforming a natural gas 41 and performing gas purification. In the method for producing methanol by sending a hydrogen-rich gas 43 from the gas-reforming/purifying equipment 40 to the methanol synthesis equipment 30 and by using the hydrogen-rich gas 43 and a purified gas 26 derived from biomass, methanol 31 is produced, while controlling with control equipment not shown in the figure, so that an index for prescribing the ratio of carbon sources (CO, CO

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a two-phase stream flowing in into a gas and a liquid sufficiently and restrict a change in pressure, by extending a nozzle to the upper end of a tank, and by forming in its lower part a liquid outlet hole of a slit shape whose passage cross-section is much larger than the cross-section of the nozzle, and in its upper part a vapor outlet hole. SOLUTION: An injection nozzle 2 is extended to the upper end of a receiver tank 1, a liquid outlet hole 9 of a slit shape or other shape is made in the lower part of the injection nozzle 2 which is lower than a liquid level 8, and also a vapor outlet hole 10 is made in the upper part of the nozzle which is higher than the liquid level. Thus, in a two-phase stream flowing in the nozzle 2 from a two-phase stream line 3, only a liquid flows out from the liquid outlet hole 9 at a low speed, and vapor foam rises in the nozzle 2 as it is and flows out from the vapor outlet hole 10. By separating it into the gas and the liquid, the liquid level is prevented from waving due to the vapor foam, the smooth outflow of it is, therefore, possible, and a change in pressure is restricted.
