    • PURPOSE:To forge toothed wheels with projection by excellent yield rate by forming the projection part to the material by pressing with dies, the shaft part in the punching hole part of the upper and lower dies, and not only by molding the toothed whell part by pressing the shaft part with the upper and lower punches but also making it the final shape. CONSTITUTION:The round bar material is put into the cavity which is formed by upper die 1, upper punch 3, sleeve die 5, lower die 2 and lower punch 4, and by pressing it with the upper die 1 and giving plastic deformation to the material, the projection part 12 is formed. At the same time, the material is filled in the part through which the upper and lower punches 13, 14 of the upper and lower dies 1,2 are made to penetrate, and the preform 15 equipped with the necessary projection part 12 and the shaft parts 13, 14 is molded. Subsequently, by pushing in the upper and lower punches 3, 4 by the regular amount in the direction which compresses the shaft parts 13, 14 and pushing out the disk part 16 of the preform 15 in the circumferential direction, the toothed shape part 17 is formed, and the finished product 18 of desired toothed wheels with projection can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the buckling to be caused by working, in working of blank materials with an electric upsetter, by providing a work guide which encircles the blank material and is movable along the blank material. CONSTITUTION:For example, with a vertical type twin-shaft type upsetter, a blank material 5a is slidably sandwiched between clamping electrodes 1, 3 by a clamping cylinder 2. Thus sandwiched blank material 5a is moved upward by an upsetting cylinder 6a and an upsetter supporting port 7a. A series of devices including a work guide 16a and others for preventing the buckling of the blank material 5a are provided to the supporting part 7a. When the top end of the blank material 5a abuts on an anvil electrode 9a, a pressure switch actuates. Then the switch of a transformer 10a goes on automatically to supply electric current to the transformer 10a, flexible conductor 11a, anvil electrode 9a, blank 5a, clamping electrode 1, flexible conductor 12b and transformer 10a, thereby working the blank material 5a to a desired shape. The same holds true of other blank material 5b.

    • PURPOSE:To perform die forging of a molding having an intricate shape without producing under fill and burrs by forming roughly the top and bottom of a blank material with top and bottom dies, forming roughly the side faces with side dies, and pressing the blank material in a closed state with punches to pack the same in the closed space. CONSTITUTION:A closed forging die is constituted of top and bottom dies 10, 11 which define the shape of the top and bottom surfaces of a molding 1 and plural divided side dies 12, 13, 14, 15 which are positioned between the top and bottom dies and define the shape on the side faces of the molding. The top and bottom surfaces are roughly formed and the side faces are roughly formed, by which the forging die closed with the dies 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 is obtd. The roughly formed material is pressed with punches 16-19 through any of the dies to pack the blank material in the forging die. Thus, the die forging is accomplished.

    • PURPOSE:To make the transformation flow condition of forged article constant and to enable to be obtained the product having a good dimension accuracy, by changing the punch position to voltage and comparing with the voltage from target voltage generation apparatus and then, controlling the movement of the punch in forging. CONSTITUTION:Voltage of the potentiometers 7a, 7b indicating the pushing amount of the upper and lower punches 4, 5 in metal mold, is compared with the target voltage from the target voltage generating apparatus 23 at the X1, X2 parts. Difference of the above voltage is amplified by the amplifiers 21a, 21b and is inputted in the servo valves 22a, 22b. The upper and lower auxiliary rams 7, 8 are driven by oil pressure respectively so as to be eliminated the difference and the punches 4, 5 are controlled according to the target voltage. On this occasion, outline of the template 24 is made suitable from forging start position to finish position and movements of the punches 4, 5 are able to control extending over the whole process of forging by moving in forging process.
