    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an uninterruptible power supply device that supplies power to a load while executing separation of a power system by a non-self arc-extinguishing system linkage switch at a high speed regardless of the type of power system and circuit conditions when detecting an abnormality of the power system so as to make a load voltage quickly reach a normal value and to maintain the normal value. SOLUTION: When a system voltage abnormality detection circuit 12 detects an abnormality of a power system 1, a voltage command value from a voltage control circuit 11 is transmitted to a power converter 4 as a control command signal. During a period from the time point when the system voltage abnormality detection circuit 12 detects the abnormality of the power system 1 until the time point when an OFF-detection circuit 19 detects OFF-operation of a system linkage switch 3, a value obtained by adding a current command value from a current control circuit 15 to the voltage command value is transmitted to the power converter 4 as a control command signal. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a chopper circuit C for compensating voltage unbalance that occurs between two series smoothing capacitors 12, 13 constructing a direct-current circuit of a high-speed, stable control system, in a power conversion device in which a half-bridge power converter is used for a rectifying circuit A and an inverter circuit B. SOLUTION: Each phase of the rectifier circuit A and the inverter circuit B and the chopper circuit C are, respectively provided with current controllers 38, 41, 46, 49, 56. • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a chopper circuit C for compensating voltage unbalance that occurs between two series smoothing capacitors 12, 13 constructing a direct-current circuit of a high-speed control system, in a power conversion device in which a half-bridge power converter is used for a rectifier circuit A and an inverter circuit B. SOLUTION: The copper circuit C is provided with a voltage controller 35 and a pulse width modulator 39. The voltage controller computes the current command value for the chopper circuit C so that voltage unbalance between the two series smoothing capacitors 12, 13 is reduced. The current command value for the chopper circuit C and a current detection value of the chopper circuit C are compared to each other at constant sampling intervals. Then, a PWM signal is so generated as to invert the polarity of an error current, based on its positive/negative polarity. Turn-on/off of IGBTs 23, 24 is thereby determined so that the current command value for the chopper circuit C and the current detection value of the chopper circuit C agree with each other, at all times.
