    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant coating device of a moving handrail for a passenger conveyor, easily installable on the forward passage side of the moving handrail, not on the return passage side of the installation-difficult moving handrail.SOLUTION: The lubricant coating device comprises: a U-shaped guide rail for slidably guiding the moving handrail and forming an upper end horizontal part by extending an upper end part of a vertical sidewall in the horizontal direction; an opening part formed by cutting out a part of the upper end part of the vertical sidewall of a forward passage side guide rail and a part of the upper end horizontal part and communicating with a storage space of the forward passage side guide rail; and lubricant coating means installed in the storage space for forming the opening part of the forward passage side guide rail, constituted to be movable in the direction where a lubricant forming part is orthogonal to the extension direction of the guide rail, and oppositely arranged to an inside end part of the moving handrail via the opening part. The lubricant forming part of the lubricant coating means is in a state of being retracted from the inside end part of the moving handrail in normal time, and comes into contact with the inside end part of the moving handrail by becoming a state of projecting to the inside end part of the moving handrail via the opening part when coating a lubricant.

      SOLUTION: The main rope abnormality detection device includes: a detecting member comprising a tubular part 43 and a detecting piece 44, which are allocated close to a drive sheave wrapped with the main rope 16 coupled to a car on one end, and pressed by a protruding part 16b protruding from the outer circumferential surface of the main rope 16 to be displaced from an initial location when the main rope 16 is in abnormal conditions; and a displacement detecting means comprising a first detecting magnet 41 and a magnetism detecting means 46a, for transmitting a detection signal by detecting displacement of the detecting member. The detecting member is pressed by the protruding part 16b to be displaceable from the initial location regardless of the travelling direction of the main rope 16.
