    • There is disclosed a trochoid pump in which a friction between a rotor and its support portion is reduced, thereby reducing a drive torque and wear of these parts. An inner rotor of the trochoid-type fuel pump is rotatably supported by a bushing through a bearing. An outer rotor is rotatably received in an inner periphery of a spacer. A first groove is formed in a portion of the outer periphery of the bushing disposed close to a discharge port, and a discharge fuel is introduced into this groove. A second groove is formed in a portion of the inner periphery of the spacer disposed close to the discharge port, and the discharge fuel is introduced into this groove. Although the inner rotor is urged toward the bushing by the fuel pressure of the discharge port, the urging force to urge the inner rotor toward the bushing is weakened by the discharge fuel introduced into the first groove, thereby reducing a friction. Although the outer rotor is urged against the spacer, the urging force to urge the outer rotor against the spacer is weakened by the discharge fuel introduced into the second groove, thereby reducing a friction.

    • A Westco type fuel pump includes an impeller (32) which has a plurality of vane grooves (322) and a plurality of vane plates (323) provided alternately along its outer periphery. Each vane groove (322) is constituted by groove portions (322a, 322b) formed in both sides of the impeller (32), respectively, with a partition wall (321) provided between the groove portions (322a, 322b). The partition wall has an outer peripheral surface (3210) located radially inside an outer peripheral surface (3230) of each vane plate (323) and has a predetermined thickness in an axial direction of the impeller. As the impeller (32) rotates, two vortex flows of fuel are generated along bottom surfaces (3221, 3222) of the groove portions (322a, 322b) and then smoothly merge together at a position outside the outer peripheral surface (3210) of the partition wall, thereby reducing a flow dead zone (96) in a pump flow passage (33). When the impeller (32) is molded by using molds, deformation of the molded impeller is prevented due to the thickness of the outer peripheral surface (3210). Of the surfaces of the impeller (32), therefore, the surfaces of each vane groove remain as they are after the molding, while both sides of the impeller (32) and the outer peripheral surfaces (3230) of the vane plates (323) are ground. Thus, the impeller (32) able to surely achieve a high level of pump performance can be easily provided by resin molding.

    • A disk-shaped impeller having on its periphery a multiple radial vanes and a multiple radial impeller grooves is rotatably disposed in a pump housing. On each end surfaces of the impeller there are formed a plurality of C-shaped grooves. As the impeller is rotated at a higher speed, the fluid in the C-shaped grooves in the impeller acquires a velocity component in an impeller's axial direction to generate a force sufficient to push a pump cover and a pump casing in the axial direction. Accordingly, since it is avoided for the impeller to adhere either the pump cover or the pump casing, the space between the impeller and the housing inner wall is reduced while the possible leakage of the fluid is reduced.

    • In a fuel pump, a case member and a discharge-side cover define a fuel passage. A holder is held between the case member and the discharge-side cover. Brush terminals are supported by the holder to conduct electricity between power receiving terminals and brushes. The power receiving terminals have connector portions that are connected with the brush terminals. A wall of the discharge-side cover and a wall of the holder clamp the connector portions therebetween. The wall of the discharge-side cover and the wall of the holder partition an installation space, which is isolated from the fuel passage and in which the connector portions are enclosed.

    • In a motor having a pawl-shaped magnetic pole, if a coil is wound like a ring shape so as to be formed, one leader line can be generally drawn out to an external portion from a position close to an outer periphery of a stator, however, the other leader line is drawn out to the external portion from an inner periphery of the stator. Accordingly, the leader line occupies a part of the inner space formed by the stator core, so that there is generated a problem that a space factor of the coil is reduced. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to improve the space factor of the coil. In order to achieve the object mentioned above, a space passing wirings of a plurality of coils therethrough is provided in a part of the pawl-shaped magnetic pole of the stator core of the stator having the pawl-shaped magnetic pole. Accordingly, one of leader lines of the coil is drawn out from an outer peripheral portion (or an opposite side to a side facing to the rotor) of the stator, and the other is drawn out in an axial direction from the space of the claw-shaped magnetic pole of the stator. Therefore, it is possible to do away with an influence by the leader line, it is possible to increase a winding number of the coil even in the same space, and it is possible to improve a downsizing of the motor.
