    • An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of passageways, and a number of contacts receiving in corresponding passageways, respectively. The contacts comprises a first base portion having a first retaining portion for securing the contact in the passageway, and a second base portion having a second resilient arm extending therefrom. A first resilient arm extends upwardly from the first base portion and having a contacting portion disposed at a free end thereof. The second base portion and the second resilient arm are attached to the first base portion and the first resilient arm, respectively, from a lower position. Accordingly, an electrical connector with a large array pattern of the contacts is achieved under a condition that steady electrical connection is provided.

    • An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of passageways, and a number of contacts receiving in corresponding passageways, respectively.     • An electrical connector for connecting a flat circuit includes an insulating housing defining an insertion slot for receiving the flat circuit, a plurality of terminals arranged in the housing in parallel relationship, a shielding shell surrounding the insulating housing and an actuator. The terminals have contacting projections extending into the insertion slot. The shell provides a plurality of spaced spring fingers extending into the inserting slot and establishes a receiving path between the contacting projections and the pivot beams. The actuator is mounted on the electrical connector for movement between an open position lifting up the spring fingers of the shielding shell and allowing insertion of the flat circuit into the inserting slot and a closed position allowing the pivot beam restore and pressing against the flat circuit toward the contacting projections.

    • An electrical connector includes an insulative housing (2) having an exterior side (23) adapted to face a substrate, a substantially elongated terminal (1), and a body of reflowable, electrically conductive material (5). The terminal is adapted to mate with a mating component and extends substantially to the exterior side of the insulative housing. The terminal includes a movable contact end (12) longitudinally movable relative to the insulative housing. The body of reflowable, electrically conductive material is disposed on the movable contact end adjacent the exterior side of the insulative housing. As such, since the electrical connector is assembled onto the substrate by the formation of the body of conductive material between terminals of the electrical connector and the substrate, no openings or holes have been defined on the substrate, thereby doing no damage to a wiring or connection layout on the substrate.
