    • Disclosed are a cyclone vessel dust collection and a vacuum cleaner including the same. The cyclone vessel dust collector comprises a cyclone vessel main-body including a primary cyclone vessel unit for separating dusts from dust containing air, and one or more secondary cyclone vessel units for separating dusts from the air passing through the primary cyclone vessel unit, the secondary cyclone vessel units being arranged to surround at least a part of the primary cyclone vessel unit; and a dirt collection bin for receiving dusts or the like separated by the cyclone vessel main-body, wherein the cyclone vessel main-body has an outer circumference with a non-constant radius. Therefore, the cyclone vessel dust collector can have a dust collection capability of large capacity with a small size.

    • A robot cleaner, a robot cleaning system and a method for controlling the same capable of efficiently performing work on command by recognizing the driving distance and direction of the robot cleaner regardless of a of wheel slippage or irregularity in the floor. The robot cleaner performs a working operation while moving about a floor, and comprises a main body, a driving unit for driving a plurality of wheels disposed on a bottom portion of the main body, a downward-looking camera disposed among the wheels on the bottom portion of the main body for photographing images of the floor perpendicular to the driving direction of the robot cleaner, and a control unit for recognizing driving distance and direction of the wheels using image information of the floor photographed by the downward-looking camera, and for controlling the driving unit corresponding to a target work by using the recognized distance and direction of the wheels. An upward-looking camera can photograph and use information relating to spatial orientation for determining and correcting driving distance and direction.

    • An upright vacuum cleaner includes a suction nozzle unit, an inlet formed on a bottom surface of the suction nozzle unit, an injection path disposed near the inlet, a suction motor mounted in the suction nozzle unit, and a main body attached to the suction nozzle unit and in fluid communication with the suction motor. The injection path ejects air toward a surface to be cleaned. The suction motor generates a suction force to draw in air and dust through the inlet. The main body separates dust from the air using centrifugal force, collects the dust, and discharges the air to the suction nozzle unit. The air discharged from the main body flows through the suction motor, is ejected from the injection path toward the surface to be cleaned, and is then suctioned into the inlet so that a portion of the discharged air circulates within the vacuum cleaner.
