Thus, when an externally provided pressure is applied to the display panel in order to perform a touch screen function, an alignment of the liquid crystal molecules disposed on the array substrate may not be substantially changed, and a display quality may be improved.

The line selecting unit is electrically connected to end portions of the sensor lines and sequentially outputs the sensing signals transferred through the sensor lines. The sensor resistor section includes a first end electrically connected to the sensor lines, respectively, and a second end opposite to the first end. The second end receives a driving direct current (DC) voltage. Therefore, the touch panel may have an improved ability to detect touch events.

Therefore, a short defect, which is generated between the array substrate and the opposite substrate, may be easily inspected.
