    • A heat dissipating assembly for dissipating heat from a plurality of electronic components, including a heat sink (10) mounted on an electronic component, a fan (40), a first holder (50), and a second holder (60). The fan has a part secured on the heat sink by the first holder that is fixed at a lateral side of the heat sink, and another part located beyond a periphery of the heat sink being secured to the heat sink by the second holder that is fixed at an opposite side of the heat sink. An airflow produced by the fan has a part blowing the heat sink to remove heat from the one of the electronic component, and another part blowing another electronic component, which is located below the another part of the fan, thus dispersing heat from the another electronic component.

    • A heat dissipation assembly comprises a heat sink for being disposed on an electronic component mounted on a printed circuit board, and a pair of fasteners for securing the heat sink on the printed circuit board. Each fastener comprises a sleeve extending through the printed circuit board, a latch received in the sleeve, a stretchable pole inserted through the sleeve and a handle pivotably fixed to the pole. The pole is raised by rotation of the handle to a locked position. At the locked position, the handle downwardly acts on the heat sink, and the pole pushes the latch out of the sleeve. The latch presses against the printed circuit board upwardly to realize an intimate contact between the heat sink and the electronic component.

    • A fastener includes a fastener post, a sleeve, a nut and an elastic element. The fastener post includes a shaft, a tapered portion and a threaded portion. The sleeve includes a smooth portion and a clamp portion having a number of resilient strips. The nut is threaded onto the threaded portion. The elastic element is disposed around the sleeve and compressed between the nut and an ear of a heat sink to generate a resilient force. The resilient force moves the tapered portion of the fastener post into the sleeve such that the strips of the clamp portion of the sleeve are tilted outwardly to tightly abut against a bottom of a printed circuit board on which the heat sink is mounted.

    • A heat dissipation device includes a heat sink, a fan mounted on the heat sink and a fan holder mounting the fan on the heat sink. The fan holder includes a fan guard resting on the fan, a first clip and a second clip pivotably attached to the fan guard and engaged with the heat sink. The first clip includes an actuating member pivotably connecting to the fan guard and a buckling member pivotably connecting to the actuating member. The buckling member has a clasp engaging the heat sink at a locked position. The buckling member moves with a pivotal movement of the actuating member relative to the fan guard to leave the locked position and reach an unlocked position.

    • A fan holder adapted for fixing a fan onto a heat sink includes a frame, a fastener pivotedly connected with the frame, and a first resilient member disposed between the frame and the fastener. When the fastener is located at a first position, the first resilient member exerts a resilient force on and keeps the fastener at the first position, and the fan is sandwiched between the fastener and the frame. When an external force is applied on the fastener, the fastener rotates from the first position to a second position in which the fan can no longer be sandwiched between the fastener and the frame, and when the external force is removed, the first resilient member drives the fastener from the second position back to the first position.
