摘要： Corrosion induced by the presence of naphthenic acids in hydrocarbon fluids, particularly where such fluids are at elevated temperatures, may be inhibited or controlled through use of corrosion inhibiting compositions comprising a combination of a minor portion of a phosphorus-based constituent and a major portion of a sulfur-based constituent, nitrogen-based constituent, or combination thereof. In another embodiment the sulfur-based constituent and/or nitrogen-based constituent may be used without any phosphorus-based constituent. Where the compounds are appropriately selected, the compositions may inhibit corrosion to a degree comparable or nearly comparable to the inhibition provided by an equal amount of some conventional phosphorus-based compounds alone, but are significantly less likely to impair catalyst activity in downstream cracking and refinery operations.

摘要： The present invention provides a composition and method for inhibiting hydrogen permeation in metal refinery equipment comprising incorporating into a product stream handled by said equipment a polyamine amide of 3-hydrocarbyl thiopropionic acid in an amount sufficient to inhibit said hydrogen permeation. In a preferred embodiment, the polyamine amide of 3-hydrocarbyl thiopropionic acid is selected from the group consisting of propanamide, N-[2-[2-[3-(dodecenyl)-2,5-dioxo-1-pyrrolidinyl]ethyl]amino]ethyl]-3-[dodecylthio]-2-methyl and 15-thia-5,8,11-triazaheptacosanoic acid, 2-(dodecenyl)-13-methyl-4,12-dioxo, and combinations thereof.

摘要： The present invention provides compositions and methods which are effective to prevent corrosion of metal surfaces involved in refining solutions having relatively high partial pressures of carbon dioxide. The compositions of the present invention comprise mixtures of a pyridinium quaternary salt and an organic compound, such as thiourea, which contains at least one sulfur atom double bonded to a carbon atom. The compositions are added substantially continuously to the solution to be treated to result in a final concentration of at least about 30 ppm of pyridinium quaternary salt, preferably between about 56-70 ppm, and at least about 5 ppm double bonded sulfur containing compound, preferably between about 10-13 ppm.
