摘要： A method for treating a fuel cell membrane is described and which includes providing a fuel cell membrane which is not generating an electrical current output; and exposing the fuel cell membrane which is not generating an electrical current output to a nonambient environment which is effective to render the fuel cell membrane substantially immediately operable to generate at least about 80% of the maximum sustainable electrical power output of the fuel cell membrane when it is supplied with a source of fuel and an oxidant. The present invention also describes a fuel cell produced by the same methodology and a conditioned fuel cell membrane.

摘要： A bone plate system is provided. The system includes two or more fastener locks stacked on top of each other and located between two holes in a plate adapted to receive bone fasteners. An actuator is provided between the locks. As the actuator is advanced, the locks are moved sequentially into position, firstly, to prevent one or more bone fasteners from backing out of the plate while permitting the fasteners to angulate and, secondly, to lock the angulation of the bone fasteners while still providing back out protection in situ. An expandable bone plate having a top plate interconnected to a bottom plate by a rack and pinion is provided. The rotation of the pinion with a driver lengthens or shortens the plate incrementally for custom length adjustment. The length is fixed in position with the simple removal of the driver and no further step is required to lock the plate length.

The operator can select to have the convective cooling effects of air being blown over the operator. In the alternative, the operator is able to select both style of cooling using this device. The positioning and shape of the atomizing device in relation to the forced air is unique as well as the shaping of the air flow optimizes the cooling effects. Location of the atomizing device is proscribed as to prevent the occurrence of drips and runs commonly associated with misting fans.
