摘要： An apparatus is provided for performing spinal surgery having a handle assembly, a screw guide, and a retractor. A shaft is provided with a handle, a neck portion and a connecting portion. The screw guide is provided with a connecting element coupled to the connecting portion of the handle assembly. A retractor for retracting tissue is coupled to the screw guide, wherein the neck portion of the handle assembly is provided with a spring loaded sleeve adapted to engage one of a plurality of holes positioned on a portion of the connecting element. The connecting portion is pivotably coupled to the connecting element.

A locking cap secures to the bone plate and covers the head to block the head and inhibit screw back out. Alternatively or additionally, a locking disc located in the plate hole resiliently deflects downward to allow screw insertion, but is blocked to limit or prevent upward deflection so that screw back out is inhibited.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a spine stabilization system and method for stabilizing the spine. In particular, the present invention is directed to a spinal stabilization system having an occipital plate configured with a central portion and at least two extension portions extending from the central portion. At least two rod receivers are positioned on each one of the at least two extension portions and the at least two rod receivers are adapted and configured to receive at least two elongated rods. At least two locking assemblies are adapted and configured to retain the at least two elongated rods within the at least two rod receivers. The occipital plate further includes a plurality of holes for receiving bone fasteners and includes a slot for receiving each one of the at least two rod receivers, and the rod receivers being capable of translating and rotating within the slots.

摘要： Occipital plate systems are described. The occipital plate systems can include a novel occipital plate having an upper portion and lower portion. The lower portion can include an opening for receiving one or more lateral members therethrough. The lateral members include top and/or side apertures for receiving lateral connectors that are attached to polyaxial screw receiving members. The occipital plate systems can also include low-profile clamping arms that are operably attached to an occipital plate via an extension member and articulating joint member. The clamping arms, along with tension cables attached intermittently along its length, can be used in addition to or instead of screws and hooks to secure an occipital plate system to vertebrae.

The cover allows the light sources to rotate within its hollow structure. Several different embodiments are described related to a comb, a brush, a toothbrush, a toothpick, a facemask, a glove or a skin-massaging wand.
